  1. You're right to say it smells of sick, butryic acid is what you're smelling a chemical found in both parmesan cheese and sick. Lovely stuff though can't have spag bol without a heavy dusting of fresh parmesan or pecorino.
  2. The cross makes for a healthier, fitter more capable and driven mastiff. Basically just correcting lot of the problems you see in modern mastiff breeds. Tools for jobs and as far as guard/protection dogs go I've not found a better tool than a decent bandog and I've been around plenty of supposed super guardian breeds.
  3. Some of the best dogs I ever owned were various flavours of APBT x mastiff and I certainly wouldn't call the lads who bred them dafties. Now breeding them with no regard to temperament and then putting them into random pet homes is another thing but you can say the same for any powerful driven breed.
  4. There's a big difference between the bullys imported from the US bred from decent well established lines and the random cross bred bull breeds that get passed off as bullys TBH. The latter really are just badly bred bandogs with no thought given to temperament or stability.
  5. Honestly I think Usyk Fury will be a close fight but the Ukrainian dwarf will just about edge it. Couldn't really care less though the whole heavyweight division is a fecking joke now.
  6. I heard Special Branch are on the case
  7. I tell you what @mr moocher's daughter is a perfect illustration of why these bans are so shit, she sounds a decent lass who keeps her dog responsibly and will do her best to keep her within the new laws and she's sat up worrying about her wee pet being taken away meanwhile the twat down the street with a couple of out of control liabilities will crack on as usual with no regard to the law and just get another pup in if they're ever seized. As always bans only affect the law abiding decent folks.
  8. Since the ban on importing cropped dogs it's impossible to get around it if your dog is younger than the ban but folk still crack on thinking they're untouchable parading their cropped pups about, all it takes is one jobsworth RSPCA wanker seeing them and they're charged with animal cruelty and banned from owning dogs for life all for an aesthetic FFS. Had those exact conversations with bandog lads but they'll never get it until it happens to them then they'll be crying about the injustice of it all.
  9. That's a beauty pal and honestly the fact she looks more pit than bully could play in your favour, they'll be looking out for big slabbering xl bully types not nice lean fit pit types. I'd say your daughter doesn't really have much to worry about especially as I'm sure she's a decent responsible owner but that's easy to say when it's not my wee companion at risk of being seized.
  10. I definitely wouldn't volunteer her for testing etc when the ban comes in, just tell your daughter to keep her head down and keep the dog on lead and muzzled in public and hope she doesn't draw the attention of authorities. Is your daughter's dog cropped too? That definitely won't help in keeping attention off her. Honestly mad that folk have been getting away with the cropping for so long TBH and can definitely see them starting to enforce those laws more.
  11. I thought we already agreed your pals shepherds don't compare to bull blooded dogs There's a world of difference between playing with your pals pet and working with serious dogs that know what they're doing
  12. Trying to even get hold of a thrashing dog with one arm while it's ragging you about would be hard enough without even getting into lifting it and getting it onto it's back and you think this would be possible while it's crushing the bone and tearing the flesh off your other arm? And that's if you can even stay on your feet when it first hits you! You've got multiple lads in this thread who have taken 1000s of bites on sleeves and seen the damage these dogs do in real situations telling you how it is pal, you need to listen to experience.
  13. You're going to pick up and slam an 80lb+ dog to the ground with one arm while it's shredding the flesh off your other arm and ragging you about? You wouldn't even be on your feet to attempt it. You really are just demonstrating how little you know about these dogs at this point pal.
  14. Talking of fighting bulls all going well I should finally be getting over there next year to see some up close, have to say that's down to you piquing my interest in them pal so thanks for that
  15. I'd destroy that right now pal looks perfect totally agree with you re the poacher too
  16. Aye I won't touch supermarket chicken myself, nasty slimey shit Farm fresh whole bird parted out by myself the only chicken I'll eat.
  17. Shepherds are a totally different thing to a big bull blooded dog pal, I'd be relatively confident in being able to deal with one TBH.
  18. You ever seen one of these dogs really go in the flesh pal? Or even taken one on a sleeve? I guarantee your opinion would change if you did. My pal was set about by one of his Cane Corsos on his yard and it took two of us to get it off him and we were all well experienced with big aggressive dogs. He nearly died from blood loss and ended up having to have his arm amputated from the elbow down because the damage was so bad it couldn't be repaired. It was only on him for a couple of minutes.
  19. £1.20 an hour?! Jesus don't offer them that you'll ruin the whole market. Vietnamese are my go to, cracking wee gardeners too
  20. Amateur mistake hiring a Brit, you're supposed to get an illegal in so you can threaten to report them to the Home Office and get them deported if the work isn't up to scratch.
  21. Folk really underestimate just how powerful these dogs are, even taking them on the sleeve it's hard enough to do anything but get ragged about and you're not dealing with all the pain and blood loss from a live bite! It's basically impossible to do anything but mildly annoy a dog like that with your bare hands and even with a tool you need to actually hit something vital to stop it. I wouldn't back any man 1on1 with a determined dog over 80lb TBH, even if they had a knife on them I'd say odds are still in the dogs favour.
  22. My pal who kept and bred working shepherds only ever fed beef and lamb said he found chicken would upset their guts. Sensitive guts definitely seems to be a bit of a problem with shepherds in general just about finding what works for yours.
