top dog your dog seems familar wasnt you the lad that use to take some good camera and film footage and share on here first light or something

why not go for it seen pures give a good account of themselves ferreting etc i think to many play it safe with tradition crosses but when something against the grain works there willing to try it in theory but theres nothing like the unexpected producing the results and working out and like the old saying nothing ventured nothing gained in this world good luck matey if you decide to do it
-
maybe but hasnt your collie x worked more with your mircos and hence knows the difference i know theres not much difference with the size between a weasel and your mircos but surely your whippet cross will get use to the mircos and there smell rake

never owned a dog that didnt have a fault of some sort but i always tried to work with what i had which was below average on a good night but i remember 1 bitch she had her own agenda when running gear depending what mood it was in some nights i would of been better chasing the fecking things myself frustrating wasnt the word and when it was in the mood it seemed to try harder on bigger things it was like it couldnt be arsed with rabbits so we parted company
-
i like to get mine out has soon as i can getting use to the different sights and smells also stock breaking and watching the ferrets work and getting use to nets etc is also done early on but everyone has there own way of doing things so i wouldnt say theres a right or a wrong way of doing things its just what i do
-
just take a catty with you rob next time you go out
-
dont know about best but had a lurcher with a bit of everything thrown in average lamper at best ok with the ferrets and not all bad in the day just couldnt get on or take to it but it was honest enough ran bull xs that were nothing to write home about and i always saw better in other yards but has with the above they got me out and about and a bit of a feed but i think all gave me the pleasure of watching them work or not at times and some learned me some hard lessons and they gave me some fond memories and got me through some tough times and all were great round the house and kids
