the problem you've got to compete with is the fact that beef has the highest feed conversion rate of all the proteins, its the most expensive protein to grow to slaughter weight, as a result the pressure's on the processors to turn every possible ounce of the carcass into human food grade products, that way they increase the yield of the carcass into the highest value possible home available, pet food is the last stop in the revenue chain, if too much of the carcass is heading there, you wont be in business very long.

Hope not that will fairly ramp the price up... the whole of the meat industry is and has been going through some fairly tough times with feed and energy prices, prices are going one way and wont be returning down , ever. the kind of increase stated above though, is not inline with the rest of the industry, that'd work out to over 25% cost increase.

plucks is the slaughter house term used for lungs , heart and the liver of whatever species your dressing out at the time, they are generally linked together dependant on what level of inspection you have to perform for that paticular species at point of slaughter, hence the term "plucking" it out of the animal at time of dressing the carcass. no idea of Daf products unfortunately, but mainstream pet foods contain an element of the above, along side a lot of other shite....literally.

that used to be my favourite in barmouth, then i discovered the one at the other end of town, on the way out next to the last inn. chips cooked in lard, you can have either cod, plaice or fish of the day, thats my chippie in barmouth now. i'll be there this friday lunch time all being well! hmm may take a run up sat / sun if the weather stays nice and have a gander at this wee chippy :hmm: its worth it mate, i was all about the mermaid till one of the locals in the pub put me right. cant fooking wait to get up that way this weekend, its fkin killing me working in this weather...

Glad to hear it mate. I've never been into caravan sites, prefer wild camping better. Don't think you'd get away with that down south though. do that as well baw if its just me an me bro, like nothing better than a rucksack and a good walk, thing is though the girls and kids like the comforts.at least we can compromise on the site, near water, near woods, open fires, allows mutts, walking distance to a pub, those are the basic's before me and me bro will even consider it.... for me, my friends and family far from it, we're all getting into the camping/caravans/motorhomes. its probably our ages to be fair, 30-40yrs, been an done all the costa/greece/etc etc, self catering and all inclusive, had a belly full to be honest. i'm in the middle of the country and can be to coast/lakes/valleys/dales within 2 hrs and we love it, more and more folk are getting into it an all, there's some really good sites once you get into it and they are begining to realise that if you let folk relax and put on some decent toliets and showers, you'll get people coming back. i love it,

the one in brixham harbour, not sure of the name, but its opposite the kiosks that sell the fishing trips. the fish is massive, batter light and you cant get any fresher fish.

i used it for some gobshite little peddling prick, he was about to start selling pups, when the last time he did it he revelled in the fact that he'd sold a dog not up to the job. i'd use it again an all if i thought the poster was a prick that could damage the site. i like it here.

there's plenty of lampers on here, good un's an all, they tend to have different attitude to the how they broadcast there activities compared to the coursers. lampers tend to write it up with a bag shot at the end of the night, if they share the trip at all. do a search in the hunting section of lurchers. community support officers round here now, they don't have the same "powers" as what the old specials used to have. even the local kids don't take them seriously, just a cheap and nasty way for the government to get uniforms on the street, ineffective and token gestures at best.
