  1. One bolts lots of foxes, one doesnt.
  2. Its a funny one with rocks. Because 2 big'uns removed can be a quick 3 foot gain. Its when theyre packed together, you end up making the dig wider to find the edge of them.
  3. Ask permission for ferreting, dont mention lurchers. Youll have to put up with a few outings without the dog, then just turn up with it one day, more than likely the farmer wont be fussed
  4. I just got some new permission, not ideal. http://rs1154.pbsrc.com/albums/p540/rob4boxing/Mobile%20Uploads/IMAG0552_zpswlhhoopc.jpg?w=480&h=480&fit=clip
  5. If the dog is struggling to find take it to a small earth with big tubes, then you will know if its avoiding the quarry
  6. are you proving the pup wrong with an experienced dog?
  7. best thing to do is just turn up with it she isnt gunna say no then
  8. Dogs dont lose teeth because theyre offset a few mill, they lose em because they work hard, same as a dog with a perfect bite.
  9. Nobody has explained the actual fault of an undershot dog? Its a fault in the show ring, but it sure doesnt stop em working, and theres dogs to prove it. Im sure nuttall and the like wouldnt want it in their dogs, they wouldnt sell!
  10. Lose teeth faster, take more damage? Bullshit.
  11. fault. Whats the fault, in working dog terms?
  12. I don't think that bulldogs were selectively bred to be undershot, more likely used an excuse when the fancy started to inbreed to and produce freakish animals long after bull baiting had passed. No need to breed from a working terrier these days with an undershot mouth. Not a reason not to work him though . why would you not breed from an undershot dog if it was a great worker. Only reason i can see is for the show ring. Why start breeding bad mouth dogs when they have just stated about the Bulldogs.i wouldn't breed of a bad mouth dog and don't care how good he is,but when it comes to breed fr
  13. i beleive it is a disadvantage as a dog uses its ears when travelling, i believe they use their ears when marking at an entrance too sometimes. Although it is a disadvantage, if the dog was a goodun im sure it would adapt its nose to suit. Culling is great when you have a few pups/litters available in the near future, but if this is your only pup available, id take a shot as long as your not planning to breed from it.
  14. why is it a cull? It might work well and if it does it doesnt need to be bred from.

  16. Theres been some good undershot dogs. Better than being overshot.
  17. hes undisputed when he beats wilder, which i think will be a challenge depending on which wilder turns up.
  18. Will be hard bringing up a deaf dog, but might be worth it once it works?
  19. I have a td5 and its never let me down. Theres good and bad you just have to be proactive and look after it.
