  5. dont know how many times iv heard that on here, probably hundreds, picks its runs, knows when its beat so doesnt bother etc etc, well iv had a couple collie types over the years and seen a couple more working and have never once had a problem with them, strange that,or maybe i was just lucky, either way id have another collie/grey at the drop of a hat
  6. sad aint it? Happens every time we have a member who introduces themselves as female.. like flys round shit the lot of them
  7. your welcome mate,to be honest coulnt ask for a better lodger, she kennelled up on her own from the first night after getting her out for a few hours never heard a peep out of her, starting to grub up now she tried being picky for couple days but soon put a stop to that. gets on well with my pup she got a very good nature about her, getting her out daily and she no bother at all atb
  8. maybe the key to continuing working lurchers in the future with current laws and restrictions is to go back to the original types of the past,if your out with a lurcher its easily identified where as a few of the collie types, say birds bryn for example look quite none descript to the un trained eye therefore attracting far less attention, just a thought
  9. good luck either way,i was far to busy busting my bollox up there to even see a rabbit
  10. great pics, cracking dogs, looks like they enjoying themselves until the pup jumps the fence looks right miserable in that pic

  12. yes mate it is,facebook ffs is he still in mourning from taking a bit of stick on here In mourning. Lol. No mate I still come on from time to time and use the PM function to speak to a few good lads and lasses and see what's new. I just don't waste 4 hours of my day conversing with retards now Hope your pups doing well. Jet is very immature about the house and garden but switches right on in the field. She's picked a couple of rabbits up daytime when we have been mooching and retrieved them live to hand. She is sound with stock and generally pretty clued up in the field so the basics

  18. i used to admire some of you lads on here seemingly few lads getting together out for a run etc,but when it comes down to it i dont envy many of you,not having any close mates in this game i dont have to put up with the bollox they come up with and get up to. go it alone its the way forward
  19. im guessing so, like you say nice and steady with her cheers
  20. how much dh in a lurcher to warrent calling them slow starters? only 6 month and seemingly found her feet a lot quicker than some other types iv seen, runs like a whippet none of that gangley youngster not knowing what its legs are for going on here.
