Financial Armageddon, Total Collapse Of The British Economy
jessdale replied to Joe1888's topic in General Talk
There is nothing funnier than reading how to sort the future of the world by some folk that can barely put a sentence together. -
Had some fantastic times with the south notts for a good few years. The masters there were a bit weird but the huntsman was superb regarding the terriers. Happy days, sadly gone.

Starting Different Stages Of Training A Spaniel Puppy To Work
jessdale replied to duane87's topic in Gundogs & Retrievers
Get the David lissett training DVDs. And listen and learn. -
For 17 years I worked for the no1 fencing company in the UK making all types of agricultural fencing. Years ago the rabbit mesh order was sent to china, cost reasons, and made over there. When it came over here it got its labels, with big union jack on it, with small "packaged in the UK" written underneath. You need 18g wire with category "a" galvanizing preferably galvanized before knitting into mesh for it to last any length of time. Where it is made makes no difference whatsoever.

The mail online?, it must be true then. Lol. It could say anything about the s.a.s and people would believe it. I believed all the stories when I was 15 years old.

That fact is unfortunately lost on some people.

His mate Jamie Whitam is good fun. Came away from cadwell park once with him, watched one of his track days, and had a blast with him. I was left behind on my gsxr600 in a couple of miles. My mate hung onto him, mate on a zxr900 Jamie on a xjr1100 sit up bike, for about 10 miles. My mate thought whitams brake light had broken then because he stopped playing and left him for dead. Proper lesson that was.

I met foggy a few times when I followed the superbikes. He is a right miserable dick, but then again he was at "work" trying to be the best superbike racer in the world. His autobiography is ok though, I remember when it came out he got slated for saying he used to shoot at cats with his airifle.

The retrieving is non existent. If she sometimes does this, and sometimes does that, her retrieving is not worth calling retrieving. If you have allowed this I doubt very much that everything else is "spot on". Get the David lissett DVDs and start with your dog as though it I the first day you have owned her.

If you train it you may get better results.

Get some of your money spent you tight git. Buy the velez smock, that is a proper price of kit.

Waterproofs.... Seriously ? Sealand/barber/harkila/deerhunter ?
jessdale replied to a topic in Hunting Boots & Clothing
£400 for a coat?, on THL?, are you joking?. If it's not under £19.99 and not in camo, that is a must have, nobody will be interested. Some don't pay £20 for a car !!!! -
You are going for a interview for a managerial position and you are asking on thl what to wear?

Waterproofs.... Seriously ? Sealand/barber/harkila/deerhunter ?
jessdale replied to a topic in Hunting Boots & Clothing
If it's for walking about fields lamping/coursing you will not beat a paramo velez smock. Wash it regularly and nothing will keep you as dry and comfortable. The Buffalo special 6 shirt is also great but is not 100% waterproof, it works by keeping you so warm and sweat free the rain doesn't bother you. But if you are out digging, crawling through hedges, besting through rough cover then unfortunately a 100% waterproof, rip proof, completely breathable coat as yet to be made -
Fell boots are great if you like black and white tv, house's with no central heating, rickets, polio and children working down the mines at 12 years old. If you don't buy something else, time has moved on. I'm sure todhunter had meindl,or the like, on last time I saw him?.

It's not him doing the terrier work though is it, just the interview?

New Jacket - What Would You Recommend?
jessdale replied to Jethro Tull's topic in Hunting Boots & Clothing
You will have to make a compromise somewhere. No coat tough enough to last through a beating season, in heavy cover, is breathable enough to not make you sweat. The only waterproof and really breathable coats out there are Paramo. But they would be destroyed after the first drive. -
Don't try and compare how long someone's boots last. Some guys with terriers can make a pair of nike air max last 5 seasons yet some terriermen can destroy the best boots in the world in a season.

Train him, train him and then train him some more. Then when you think he is trained train him some more. If they are worked before they are ready, which most of them are, they can come off the rails in some fashion. I once saw a dog at a novice hpr trial course, catch and kill a sheep in double quick time.

The springer championship years are like wine making years. Some are fantastic vintage years the others are good but nothing more. Its a few years now since the last vintage performance in my opinion.
