  1. A collie based lurcher being tested regular and doing the business. Your not giving much away here mate. What's the breeding of the sire??
  2. Im just back from this morning, went a mooch around. Found 1 earth, locator on and sent the oldest in but nothing doing. on the plus side my youngest bitch was wanting to go down aswell so I let her go for a look knowing nothing was in and she went straight in, was in at 2.7 m same as the oldest, got turned n came back out. Just a one holer on a hill side that will almost definatly hold cubs this year. Quite pleased she's showing intrest to go down tho.
  3. I think there great little workers, they seem placid and laid back but theyknow when to switch it on when needed. I let my 13mnth old have it's first rag at a fox yesterday and I was pleased with how she fired into it so quickly. I think she should be ready to enter just in time for the cubs, well that's when I'm waiting till.
  4. The reason I said there not hare dogs is exactly like whin says, I'm not bringing them down at all. Im meaning chasing and coursing not lifting them out of seats and killing them in 20yards
  5. did anyone use there beddy greys on hares and how did they do day or night? i know there not hare dogs but for how did they fair against them. how do they fair as allrounders?
  6. Is it 3/4 bull 1/4 greyhound bred to half cross? Thanks
  7. What type of lurcher you got cammy?
  8. I had the same problem, i just went an bought a terrier and took a chance and went out and got permission and just took it from there.
  9. Yeah they would come in handy. Going for a lurcher coz need somethIng to make the fox go to ground after been flushed coz the terriers don't put enough pressure on.
  10. It's all pine trees mate quite close together, it would be a nightmare but there definatly there so il go through it next weekend probably.
  11. What age are wheaton and bull xs about ready to enter fox?
  12. Thanks, i think most animals were lying in the forestry today with that weather. No It not near hawes blackworm. There's alot of similar places like this round my way
  13. Off the subject a bit but is there any links for digging DVDs filmed in the 80s and 90s with the wheatons getting used?
  14. Haha it was one the older ones had killed, and just giving her a taste for it
  15. He's asking what's legal that he doesn't need a gun licence
  16. They just need a different approach to training. A more softer method than the collie or bedlington crosses I find.
  17. Out looking for earths today on new permission, didn't find any yet but still bits to check, seen 1 hare and plenty of fox shit but I think it goin to be a bit for the lamp. Took some pics of the dogs working
  18. First dog, I'd definatly go for the collie greyhound. IMO you have an just as good ferreting dog and a more likely better lamper. It wouldn't be as strong headed as a beddy/whippet.
  19. The 22 pistol is the best option but as he says what can he use without needing a gun licence. That's why I thought he ment a air gun.
