Good Idea! When there NOT IN ANY HOLES like I said il just let the terriers flush them from the cover and let them run on and tell the landowner who was along with us on his FOX DRIVE " your supposed to dig them not shoot them" earths were tried like I stated and there was nothing in.
Cheers guys, there was quite a few lying out in the brambles n bushes as it was really mild! Done two dens and never got a result. It's not been a great year for getting them at home.
Out this morning flushing foxes and my wee 14 mnth old bitch got the scent of this in a pile of branches n brambles and pushed it straight out. Well happy she's picking the scent of them up now.
Thanks mate, Hope my next one can match her. The best dog iv ever seen for finding game in cover. A top class hunter. Hope I can have another that could match her.
the saluki type one is still going, not owned by me though as i made a stupid decision that i still regret lol. the rough one retired last year at 9 and went to a good retirment home.
There doesn't seem to be much written about this cross, how many people run them and what were they like when other quarry was legal? Are the Hancock dogs any good?
Was just letting out at the dogs and it's another great night for lamping. So far this year has been the best weather wise for lamping in a long time. The ground is usually rock hard at this time and the last couple of years there's been at least a foot of snow on the ground by now but it's been perfect all season so far where I am and in 14 years of having lurchers this is my first winter without one!!! How I miss it when there's nights like tonight. Hopefully a different story next year.
Can anyone help me to get into the hunting pack and getting days out. It is so hard trying to meet people where I'm from that are into it. Thanks..... Im in the Glasgow area but willing to travel.
