    go with first cross mate dont go for bed x grey to bed x grey there plauged with copper toxosis think its called theres some really nice examples up here but rarly see them for sale and when bred usally the pups are already spoken for take a bit of training but one trained in my opinon the best lurcher around not the fastest but its brains and balls compensates for that

    nothing to do with barrel size a sub 12 rapid is worth double the price of a fac 1 fac rapids are for sale all over the place as the lad says 350 ish for a new model a original sub 12 rapid near 20 years old will still fetch 450 - 5oo on its own . a longer barrel will fetch higher power but not the sort of power required on its own ie 1.5 ftlb per extra inch will give u better shot count though my rapids running very consistent 11.4 with a 20 inch barrel it originaly came with a 16 inch reg power is where ur extra power comes from or fast flow and spring balance

    each dog differs mate id peg him at 18 month and watch see how keen he is to the sounds u should be able to judge if he's ready to go only u know the dog is it mature or still acting puppyish
