I thought it was some sort of piss take at first but turned out the full page was filled with pics like that with lots of comment like the one I've quoted now I must be a lil nieve because I did not think people where that stupid in grassing them selfs to the world!! I would say that if you had a dog that was, in your words, "say 3 r4 and you tryed everything to stop it but would run round the field for ten minutes", I would put that down to an issue with the handler rather than the dog. maybe it would be mate Ive never had this problem myself but see it happen now and then. I know a lad arm dogs 4th season just gone his dog does it runs round hunting up trying to find sumthing if it misses its original chase lad says and I quote ( he's only looking for something to bring me back to please me ) he's happy it doing it but I wouldn't be

It depends on what your standards of working dogs are people's differ and depends on the dog as well because if you had a dog from a pup done all training etc etc once it was around a year old took it lamping and it showed no interest and for the rest of the season it showed zero interest you would get rid. If you had a dog that was say 3 r4 and you tryed everything to stop it but would run round the field for ten minutes would you keep it? I wouldn't . As walshie has said apply for v5 form yourself you will then find out if it's stolen. It's just happend to my brother he applied for v5 and got it turned out the lad was just lazy and not botherd about sending it off to him

Exactly. As a rule we don't let people on lapping with the lurcher because of the risk of damaging the roses BUT we currently have 3 fields that are free of trees (and bunnies now, as it happens!) and would be happy to help someone out with a couple of runs. To answer the questions on poaching, not once. In the past I've had land that I've shot bare and gone 6 months without a bunny on, but I've never wandered onto adjacent land if I didn't have perm. Don't get me wrong, I've scanned adjacent land to see if there is anything there but I've never taken a shot because I've not wanted to risk m

Ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce the reason lurchermen have a shocking reputation in the farming community. It's not a couple of bunnies, it's potentially damage to stock / crops that you need to make a living. The fact our family has worked it's arse off for 4 generations to buy the land we work on and keep it in decent order doesn't give anyone with a dog the right to trespass. . But you haven't said anything about gun poachers so does that mean there ok to hunt your land you ???? JP ive run out of likes so heres one ! i have /had shooting perm on quit a few acres but the keeper is small minded and wont allow dog men on at any cost along with the farmers personally i think its just lack of understanding,even when i had terriers they wernt keen on me using them when ive been out shooting ive come across a few lads with dogs at night over the years"i mostly use nv now so unaware i was there " and when ive approached them they have all been genuine sportsmen not just greedy and unsporting as seems to be highlighted, all have been sent to areas for a decent run or 2 not to

Enjoyed reading that mate. Yes you carnt beat lamping by your self but it is nice to go lamping with someone else now and then and seen how there dog is running. I go out by myself mostly but go now and then with my brother and it's nice to see how well his dog has come on over the past 3 seasons

Get a vasectomized hob he will do the deed without ending up with litter you don't want. Don't be leaving your Jill in season and letting her come out of season by herself it could and must likely will harm her. If you don't have a vasectomized hob or no anyone with one you Defo need to get one. This is why I only keep hobs for there less hassle come season time

Don't breed a Jill every season she will need a brake if you do breed her every season you'll end up damaging her or killing her. Plus would you really want 6 plus ferrets every season?
