I have him out in the fields and do road work everyday without fail he just seems to have that bit extra in the tank and I don't have anymore extra time on my hand as I've already said so only other think a was thinking of was put him on the treadmill couple days a weekIf he's anything like most of the dogs I've had getting him fitter on a mill will just make him worse.. By worse do you mean more exercise needed and take longer to tire?

Haha that was my brother in pic. I weren't stupid had my wellies on. Bottom of the fields are really badly flooded so we just did a couple sets at the top end still abit boggy but runnable

Went out today with my bullx and my brother old terrier done 3 sets using last years young ferrets didn't use nets let the dog have a few runs managed 5 out of 6 one that got away deserved it did well to escape 2 strikes from the dog and took off threw a hedge row. One the rabbits was an easy catch bolted with the ferret stuck on its back leg none of them had baby's in them like some of you lads have been getting lately

I'm running a bullx he is fit he has plenty road work and free run on fields every day and gets out lamping few nights a week but I don't feel it's enough for him he's still bouncing of the walls but I work 6 days a week plus juggling family life too I'm thinking about using a treadmill as that little extra for him. Never used one before so wanted a little info cheers 4 the comments lads

Does any you lads use them for your dogs ? How long to you put them on for and at what speed? Do you see much gain in muscle and fitness ?

You can hunt rabbits with ferrets air rifle and whippets but the best ways is to catch them with your hands it's more fun

Was out last night fields are still badly floated round my way rabbits have moved homes or drowned in there borrows. Way the weather is its only getting worse as well. I'll be lamping from a rubber dingy by next week -

Tracer 210 does the job just like the blitz and comes with a dimmer for 120 pound

I never go out lamping with out a filter on my tracer 210 use either red or amber filter in slip the dog and still leave the filter on when dog is coursing. Filter gives you that few extra yards on game when lamping an area that is lamp shy just have to keep swaping filters because they soon catch on knowing the filter beam is danger

Went out at 8 this morning -4 the got to the lake and it was totally frozen over so drove to a diff lake witch is pressured water half the lake was frozen over so had to fish down an open bank no over hanging trees reeds or out sat out till 3 o'clock not one single bite 50 mile round trip for nowt just glad it didn't rain
