  1. try pushing her up to about 2.4 ish and then start to bring her down again untill you get a good response. its definatly a strange one atb adam.
  2. i bred a brindle patt a nice bitch she ended up going at 15 weeks to a pet home cos nobody wanted her . she was a good looking little thing and real fiesty as well.

  7. just a suggestion try her a bit heavier ON CREANCE and see how she reacts. as with all creatures birds use a lot of energy keeping warm. i try to fly all of mine justa tad heavier in the cold weather.

  11. i live in the fens and it would work very well around here as you can see for miles why not use a pure saluki the arabs do? i fly a gyr saker on them but without a dog and you are right sometimes its a bit boring but you still get a good few decent flights.
  12. i cant remember what one it was but i read in a book hat its got a wide piece because coursing dogs where encouraged to pull on the lead to aid muscle building of th front legs chest ect how true it is i dont know but thats what i read.

  14. what your saying has a very valid point but the problem is unless we as falconers choose the mentor for them the newbie will have to use common sense and try to find some one that has a good amount of experiance with the harder birds ie spar or gos. im not saying that some one that has only flown a harris cant be a mentor but common sense should be able to tell you if they would be a good person to learn from look at the anklets ,jesses general equiptment if its in good condition the bird looks healthy and is doing what you would expect then surely that would be a step closer to where youd

  17. its not impossible but there is a lot to training a bird if you had some one nearby to help guide you. it would be a good start. atb adam
  18. the dog in my avatar didnt have a bunny untill he was 14 months old let him be a pup and carry on with his training. let him grow up in his own time you will end up with a much better dog.
