Sling Studs For Airwolf
risingfriend replied to Robo46's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Mine has standard uncle mikes studs fitted mate and use a bipod frequently any competent gunsmith/RFD can fit them or alternatively you could get the following for front stud http://www.bestfittings.co.uk/shopexd.asp?id=261 -
Yes mate i agree they are pricey but heres something to think about to get the hw100 to be to my liking i spent the extra cash on the cylinder also a single shot mag adds another £200 to the price so depending on where you buy one thats around the £900 to £1000 new bracket i know single shot mag is not needed but is if you compete in hft or ft etc the cylinder is also not needed but balances the rifle. not to far from a wolfs money new. Again i say to get it to my liking But then i also have spent money on the wolf to get it to my liking for targets, hamster rowen SS mag etc so swings and r

Nice write up and shootin mate

Both cracking rifles .........i own both and would find it hard to choose which would go if needed, the hw100 has the better mag system and is not beaten by any other the daystate mag needs loading properly as in seating the pellet in the mag an its fine. The trigger on the airwolf is something else and is superb. accuracy wise nothing in it but then again if any pcp did not group then i would be unhappy when matched to the right pellet. Reliability wise the hw100 is generally bomb proof although i have had 3 and all power crept high. i put an a&m cylinder on my current hw100 it transform

Scopes: Adjustable Objective Or Fixed?
risingfriend replied to Daz87's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
I have two fixed mag scopes an eb sniper 10x42 and mtc viper 10x44 both have side focus and are mainly used for hft one less lense to look through when fixed mag and on lower mounts for better aim points at closer range more room for error in range finding and the smaller obj gives a clearer site pic over the whole range on hft 8 to 45yds having said that with the side focus they are fine for hunting on my hunting rigs i have a sidewinder 4x16x50 sr pro again side focus and a hawke panorama AO again 50mm and both great scopes i prefer side focus if im honest .but to be totally honest i never -

Fine choice in the s2 sfs 97 mate and well worth the wait you will need to put atleast 2 tins through her to bed her in fully before proper accuracy testing with differing pellets, One advantage of sandwell is they will tell you which pellets grouped best on the 25y indoor range but i would push the range once bedded in fully what groups well at 25y wont always group at 45 yards. Also i would call Sandwell and ask him to set the power around 9.5 to 10ftlbs as once bedded in they tend to power creep this should give you plenty of room to keep you under the legal limit. Enjoy mate
