    how olds your dog mate and have you ever taken it out doubled up or have you just taken her out on her own.

    i will run my dogs doubled up with some of my mates as its the only way we can keep our dogs fit.

    there is deffinatly a difference in stamina in a dog thats fed on dry food alone and one thats fed dry food and meat. ive noticed it on numerous occasions when going for big bags with my own dogs.

    they can both be very good. i always choose to run dogs as i think they are stronger built and can take knocks better in the field.

    yes mate i always boil them for 5 minutes or so.

    i feed mine on dry food, cooked rabbit and raw venison seems to do them well. i think its important to feed your dog plenty of meat with dry food as they dont seem to have the same stamina on dry food alone.

    Mate of mine got bit by an adder at one once in the dunes down at a place called Freshwater West.. Brought him back down to earth rather sharpish! was he sure it was a adder, i heard them disco biscuits could make you see some strange things lol

    nearly every lurcher will chase stuff and catch. imo although instinct helps you to get a dog started only correct training will get a dog to keep going out there and doing it again and again. you can easily mentally break any dog and the desire to run/hunt and chase will practicly come to a stop.

    as far has i am aware all in one jabs will be fine to give your pup from 8 weeks onwards. theres something in the back of my mind that tells me all in one jabs dont do the dogs for (leptospyrosis) rat bites but i aint a 100percent sure. theres sure to be somone on here who knows more about it than me.

    the vet give my pup his first shot at 7 and a half weeks and the secound 2 weeks later.

    i am really pleased with my young dog so far this season hes showing great promise. hes having a great season so far and is 7 months old tomorrow and has managed to put 48 rabbits in the bag so far.

    i know what you mean Si , ive done the same as you with all my lurchers. But jon pup was brill for such a young age, really was great to see it thanks for the praise of my dog bird. it was a pleasure to work your dogs and watch them work.

    we didnt run any of the dogs doubled up.

    bird didnt have his camera with him lastnite and i only have just over half the rabbits here as birds taken the rest . theres no doubt we will be having a few more outings through out the season and we will have cameras with us.

    top pic looks like a mirror image lol how they bred? well built dogs the old boy on the left is alsation/collie X whippet greyhound and the pup is malamute/greyhound X lurcher to lurcher

    i keep my dogs fit by working them hard. good long walks and i take them running with me when i go.
