  1. Not bad for a Daystate ,that one must be one of few which works
  2. Timmytree is spot on , before having a reg put in mine ,the sweet spot was 180 bar and having 25 good shots ,this is the old version mmc one and not the SE With the reg in I am getting 55-60 shots with no power curve
  3. Or send it off to XTX air , Darrin is very good
  4. Give me 11.6ft/lb and accuracy any day . The more people say I only need 10.6ftlb for hunting ,its ammunition for the authorities to bring down our all ready low air gun power. All my guns run at 11.3 -11.7ft/lb and all are very , very accurate as well
  5. Sorry skot that was at 50 yards at 60 yards -20 mm
  6. 10 -15 mm try them skot , falcons are all so good as well
  7. Had the JSB express 14.35gr pellets come today , Zeroed in at 30 yards with HW100kt.22 pellet on pellet ,put 5 on top of each other ,moved out to 35 ,40, 45 ,50 , 55 then 60 , I am amazed how good these are even out to 60 yards . Looking at this pellet and it reminds me of the old webley mosquito express 22 , had a look through my pellet collection and found some mosquitos ,they weigh the same and look the same as the JSB express . I will try them for hunting in the next week to see what they are like , hoping to get good results with them .
  8. I think you would be wasting your money imo, like you said most of the noise comes from the power house
  9. I think Mark has summed it up , but saying that the BSA Ultra is a fantastic gun as well
  10. Just doing a load of pellet testing out in the field ,ranges from 35 zero out to 65 yards , best so far are AA express 7.9 4.52 a 10mm group at 65 yards ,these are just unbelievable , in fact I put 7 pellets through the same hole at 35 yards ,I had to put the eighth pellet to the right just to make sure. AA fields 8.44 4.51 and RWS super fields 8.44 gr 4.51 came second with the superfields just edging it. All though JSB heavies 10 .3gr may be a little bit better ,I will be doing a bit more testing with these I tried fields in 4.52 , but past 45 yards the opened up a bit more just like
  11. Yes you are right ,its about 22 years old ,the piston changed on the 77/97 in 1996/7 I think ,so it might be around that time
  12. That was walking a round a field with a gun
  13. Do we really need camo . Went to one of my permissions to night to try different pellets in my new HW100kt.177 , laying down shooting at targets I notice loads of rabbits with in 45 yards of me ,then 4 pigeons landed about 35 yards away ,there's me with a white tee shirt on , blue track suit bottoms and white training shoes. Had a walk around the field ,same again rabbits coming out and pigeons flying down , When I go out shooting I am all camo up with face Veil and gloves , just makes me wonder if we need to dress in full camo, if any at all !!
  14. Just added another gun I forgot to put in BSA Meteor .22
  15. I have been reading about how pellet fussy .177 barrels are on the HW100,the first ,177 I had was great, then they sent me a new gun and the barrel just would not group ,now with this new barrel it will take any pellet doing one hole groups
  16. Daystate charged me £16.30 because a pellet got in the hammer system , I told them its not my fault its a design fault but still had to pay , they told the RFD because I shot on a elevation the pellet had fallen out of the mag and in to the hammer . All Daystates are over rated and over priced ,that's not just me saying that but RFD who manly stock Daystates
  17. Thanks moxy ,I have a slinky
  18. Had a problem with the bluing coming off my new HW100KT .177 and could not get a group with any pellet , so phoned Hull Cartridge last Monday and spoke to Chris ,he arranged to have my gun picked up from my house and delivered back to me by Friday . Chris phoned me on Thursday to say it will be back on Friday, true to his word again. Scoped it up re zeroed with H&Nftt 8.7gr , before zeroing I gave the barrel a good clean with a pull through ,well put 14 pellets on top of each other . Tried another nine different pellets ,all very good as well ,so very , very pleased . Some times Hull
