  1. Well done Dropper, good to see you getting something for a change.... Martin
  2. I went for my fortnightly fix of Wiltshire stalking a couple of days ago with Foxdropper,we tend to take it in turns to have each other over, and,it was my turn.He was desperate to get me on a Buck as we had blanked on a couple of ocassions on his land, but, when he came down my end I managed to drop in straight on a Buck each time(he is a lucky bugger).Anyway,we went to a place that I hadn't been on before.....well part of a place I hadn't been on,and it is always nice to stalk new ground,it was a beautiful evening, but as we pulled into the gateway,we spotted a tractor in the field we were going
  3. You did well FD,that's the way to do it mate.........Martin
  4. Well done lads, how old was the buck Mark? Martin
  5. I do agree with you 'MM' but do me a favour and get rid of that mancy scum off yer avatar bud, coming from where you do you should have Adge Cutler mate, not some loud mouthed f****n arsehole.
  6. I think you have just said what I suspect these pinned deer are all about, and that is getting your deer at all costs because you have a 'Cull' to acheive, and, the DMQ conveniently labels it 'Best Practice'.
  7. He's a cracker Andy mate,well done bud! Martin
  8. They may well be pinned John, but, that is a side issue,as the shot is taken to travel through the vitals mate, not to break the shoulder. the point of any shot is to travel through a vital organ isn't it.????????????? It most definitely is John, but,a pinning shot has NO vitals in line mate, unless it is quartered!!!!!!! Unless of course you are going by the same biological pic that Wireviz has put up.
  9. Tommy, you are right mate the heart is far too forward in that pic, and,if that is the pic that is what helps you sleep at night Wireviz, then I can understand why you take the pinning shot over a neck or a boiler shot, but, you can only try to fool others, and, one thing for sure is you cannot fool yourself,so sweet dreams.............
  10. They may well be pinned John, but, that is a side issue,as the shot is taken to travel through the vitals mate, not to break the shoulder.
  11. What does that mean(in red)? You also speak as if DMQ2 is the be all and end all of stalking, but,it aint.
  12. You are of course right John, but,it also doesn't show any pinning shots though.
  13. Here is a picture that will/should put the pinning of deer to bed once and for all,it shows, that if shot through the shoulder blades there is no major organs that would prove to me at least that the said deer would not die immediately, but, would bleed to death, which would take some time, but, would be dead(probably)by the time the stalker had waited the obligatory 5-10mins.And,if the beast wasn't dead on inspection then the shooter would have to give the coup de grace, and,if that is your bag then so be it,but, not mine.I,personally do not want to become embroiled in some petty arguement though,as
  14. Bloody hell Kay.....they are brilliant! Martin
  15. Hell of a head V-Max mate,it will be very interesting to see what he weighs........Martin
  16. Speilberg I am not,and that is for sure!!! The fox at the stables had some more of the kebab mate after we had gone on.....typical,oh,and the 'Lightforce' is fecked now, can't even get a glimmer out of it.That's 4 I've got and only one works now and that is the rifle mounted one, they really need to get their act together..........Martin
  17. As I said earlier mate, you don't have anything to feel bad about ,FD's shot all the decent Bucks on my land ,so,it was about time he missed out on one Only joking 'FD' mate, see you tomorrow Martin
  18. Well done Ratch mate,it all comes to he who waits..............Martin
  19. I usually take heart/lung shots, but,at times I will take head/neck shots, and I feel as long as you are confident of the shot then there should be no problem.I was however reading a post on Stalking Directory that was stating that a stalker that apparently has shot some 100's of deer hadn't checked his zero for years, and, had never cleaned his rifle,so,there are some anomalies out there, and you must live with your own decisions, and,I sleep well at night. Martin
  20. It's very easy mate, all you need to do is cast the bait towards where you want it,and as it gets there just start to slow it down by using your index finger against the line, and then stop it as it hits the water. This will straighten out the line and hooklength and that will stop the hooklength falling in a tangle onto the mainline...........simples Martin
  21. Great footage John,keep 'em coming mate..........Martin
  22. First of many mate,well done.............Martin
