  5. Apparently not the one brno mate, just got a phonecall from the farmer,a hen was taken last night, this bloody fox is doing my head in now! Do I have to shoot every fox in the valley,or what??? Martin
  6. Well, the fox I had the other day wasn't the one trying to get into the hen house,so,I was out again today to try to settle it for good.I got there and,I had a premonition(no really)I just knew that there was going to be a fox in the gateway high on the hill, and,as I rounded the corner as if by magic there it was, but, there was no way of getting closer, and,I didn't want to try a squeek(don't know why, just didn't seem right)so,it was up on the sticks at 167yds,the fox was facing me,and downhill,so,I put the crosshairs on the white of it's chest and squeezed off a 100grainer which slammed home, but
  7. something a bit different..... back to the deer......... Here is an easy ID for you.......... Literally 12yds from my bedroom window........ Not a brilliant pic, but,a good Munty though,he was peering at me in my window for ages........ Mmmmmmmmmm! brambles.....
  8. Use a kebab mate, get a couple of dead hens and spike them through and into the ground with a road spike, that will mean that he has to stick around for a bit longer as he can't drag them off straight away.
  9. The result was good, but,it's not stalking is it,and we all know how deer are always twitching their head around, and, one twitch at the moment he pulled the trigger, and, you've got a runner with its neck/throat ripped open.........oh yeah, and it's already 400yds away and still going. Not my cup of tea..........Martin

  12. I was having a lovely lie in this morning when a text came through from the farmer across the valley,he has been having fox trouble recently, and,I have dropped a lot of foxes this year on his farm, and in the valley around the farm where I have other permissions, but, last night a hungry red had been tearing away at the hen house trying to get in.Luckily though he didn't manage to get to the hens this time(last time 14 chicks and 2 hens),so,after I had done my Bank holiday duty and taken my mother over to my brothers for a few days away,I got myself over to the Market garden which looks over the
  13. First of all, well done Local mate, you deserve that beast, and,a very good beast he is too... Also,Wireviz, why is it(do you think)that the colour of your heads up there are so much darker, and,an altogether much warmer brown than ours down here.....what are yours cleaning off with that is obviously different to what ours are?
  14. With respect John, that has nothing to do with DSC1 or 2,and,if there should be some FAC training then it should be run by and subsidised by the government and the gunshops, and,it should be a basic safety course with the essentials that would make all users safe, and, wouldn't need to cost hundreds of pounds either. We all come across bad practice from all sorts of people and it isn't always the people one would expect either,I have witnessed some very poor decisions by holders of DSC1&2.I really don't have a problem with some sort of safety training that would help everyone, but, should it be m
  15. I've got my 'Bronze Swimming Medal' is that any good,.cos, unless it does become law then I will be dropping deer all over the place without one, and, like Foxdropper,I too have plenty to go at and all free of charge. The likes of BASC that are spearheading this extra paperwork that by the way lines their pockets(surprise surprise)have just the one thing on their mind, and that is making extra money out of Stalkers.I(personally)wouldn't pi55 on BASC if they were on fire.........Martin .....incoming.
