its not illegal to treat your own dogs just be aware that the rspca will prosecute you for doing so even though you have not broken any law they will claim the dog was in pain and was suffering then it will be up to you to prove it was not . they will prosecute for any wounds on a dog no matter how small they get away with it under the 2006 animal welfare act stating you didnt get appropriate veterinary treatment even though its perfectly legal to treat your own animal . every time the dogs have been seen by the vet or us its been videoed or photos taken bud needed it for evidence , This time i got the wild life officer on tape Ii asked him a question why had he been round most of the written permission telling the land owners not to let me on as i am under investigation ( i am not under any police investigation as far as i am aware ) he tried to say he didn't until i told him i had two statements from land owners stating he did . it was adjourned till later on this month again nothing will happen this year unfortunately On the up side do believe the rspca were told to let me see the hounds again to make sure no more nasty things have happened to them i did see them on Wednesday and they were still alive which is a big + as there not known for keeping dogs alive for any length of time .
