  4. kit brew has come on a long way since the early days when boots kits was the norm. there's a vast selection to choose from and you can make beer as good and in many cases much better than what you get on tap at the local. coopers kits make a good reliable drink and the coopers stout is in a class of its own. really nice it is.
  5. Cheers for the helpful reply. This was of course my first port of call but I wasn't sure if they were just trying to sell me a load of kit that will end up making a nasty brew. I thought that a site with this many members would have a good amount of experience in brewing and might be able to point me to a decent site. Come on fellas, I just want to know how to get hammered on the cheap with out resorting to meths again! lol Cheers Pat good info on here and lads will keep you on track. http://www.thehomebrewforum.co.uk
  6. by that pick on ebay theres a little too much gap between the slats for my liking. dog could trap a toe or pull a nail out on that.
  7. what ever the outcome we can't take away the fact that these were two fantastic boxers. will we ever see the likes again...... i very much doubt it. haggler, hearns, leonard, not to forget the great fighter, roberto duran/ i too thought hagler took it. great times in boxing

Ive one made out of gas bottle in my shed. lad made it for me. has a damper, baffle, high tensile steel grate and ash pan. great bit of kit and it will stay on all night when damper is closed and door shut. wouldnt want one in my house though as it can get a we bit smokey at times. great for burnig the woodshavings and old shredded paper bedding

great choice of kit but 2kg of sugar is far too much. you would have being better using 1kg and brewing it short to 20 litres. you will end up with a strong stout of maybe 6.5% thats got no body at all and really thin. as i said i brew this kit all the time. for best results i use 500g of dark spray malt, 500g of brewing sugar and 200g of black treacle. its drinkable pretty quick and im regularly drinking it after only a week in the barrel.
  20. got mine today. must say for less the a score they seem to be good value. very light, handy little lamp
