They are at the squeaky stage. Eyes opening and getting up too early!! Inka is eating around a kilo of minced beef, chicken or tripe a day plus eggs and lactol. Some biscuit too. My food bill is through the roof but they are all in great condition. Thanks - sure you aren't going to change your mind for one of the black ones?!!! -

Some pics to keep you updated. There are 10 in the litter and not a runt amongst them. all feeding and growing well. 4 bitches and 6 dogs with a mix of solid blacks and the more saluki tan colours coming through, Inka is looking after them well. Cheers folks.

Thanks for the heads up on the post Gorger - looks like a cracking day out.Lucas is obviously in fine fettle, that smaller black bitch has a tidy stamp about it too. That's going some on such heavy ground! i'll update my thread about the pups with some new pics soon.

went out yesterday for 6 hours and found 1. I let it zig zag off through the tress. I have a personal rule that i won't shoot one unless I have already pointed and flushed 2 in a day. They are brilliant birds and no point in shooting them just becuase they are there.. -

Out of interest have you managed to sell any trophy hunts on here? If i was in the market for spending £25k on big game then I think i would contact a PH direct. JJM - yes its a shame but wehere humans encroach on their habitat people would rather the cat was removed and not the humans. The money from the trophy fees go back ionto conservation and ironically without big game hunting in africa a LOT of species would no longer be found.

Good morning folks Well after a long night, Inka has done me proud and produced 10 pups. Looks like an even mix of both sexes, and nice mix of jet black ones and some more black and tans. They are all feeding well and looking good so far - obviously it is early days so i hope none fade but so far so good....

I can't see what this would add to either breed. The GWP can do everything you asking of it and by diluting their blood with lab you are robbing some of the fire from the GWP. Presumably this cross has been put together for people who can't be arsed to train a proper GWP and hope that putting lab in the mix will make it easier.
