The vasectimised one would still try and fight the ohter 2, my original plan was one castrate one vasectimsed but got told off multiple people on here and local that.

Yea you said that would happen....Mate I really cant wait haha... It couldnt come quick enough. Quick question instead of making a new thread... Will he be broken to all ferrets now? Im getting 2 kits in the morning and will be working both of them and one of the ones I already have come the season.

When I went out with my 2 hobs and my mates jills we used mine as "backup" i guess. Anything the jills could not shift he used my hob and that done the trick, plus the hobs took much more of a kicking than the jills. I dont know if thats just the ferrets themselves or because the hobs can take more punishment but he really enjoyed speeding up stubborn rabbits with a couple of big strong hobs. Its how I will be doing it come september, 2 jills, 1 hob

Ha when i read that bit I thought "well, panda ferret.. thats a new one to me".... surely ferrets dont need there eyesight too much.. i actually thought ferrets eyesight was bad to begin with... or was that depth perception?

Haha cheers bud!.. this is the small bit of land i went and stayed on (back in winter though).. as you can see in this very small area of a very large farm i have permission on.. theres alot of damage... the fence to the left is another farm but the the fence at the front over that is mine..

That defintly is a nice box!

yea whole pigeon mate they demolish it i was actually suprised first time i did it, went to get the carcass out and there was just feathers. I've never fed them corvids as im sure they are more prone to carry disease. If you look at MOST animals in the animal kingdom, there are very few that eat an animal that eats another animal (if that makes sence) Though i know others on here and a few mates local do feed corvids to there ferrets.

came out full of blood cos it killed the rabbit that went back in, we dug it out. sorry didnt mention that. the farm i went to is literally wick with rabbits, the reason there wasnt many in the warrens is because we just parked on the bank instead of where we normally do, let the dog out the pickup and scared all of them into the bushes over the fence. We knew we wouldnt get much with the ferrets the floor moves with rabbits on this farm...its more of a shooting farm .. the only reason we went to that one is because the land we decided to try is open.. apart from the bushes across the fence,

Probably all has been said on this post but, I always have a full bowl of dry food for them, Its a mixture of dog and ferret dry food, the only reason for this is so i dont have to buy so much to be honest. Ferrets (at least mine) only eat when their hungry so it wont go in seconds.. on a night time around 8pm ish,I put pigeon/rabbit/squirrel in, I alwyas freeze rabbits and squirrels first, I gut the rabbits and Squirrels but not pigeons. Other than being gutted there all whole.. fur head the lot. I usually leave this in until the next morning then clear it out unless its a cold day then there

Well, im sick of sitting in the house on the sick so i pestered my Dad to come pick me up and do something, after a couple weeks trying to break my 3yr old patterdale to the ferrets we decided that its time to give him a go in the field, just to see what hes like. we decided to go to a farm that doesnt have alot of trees and bushes in most parts, for obvious reasons. We start netting up and the dog is already got his head in a hole with his tail going mental, unfortnatly this set goes onto a neighbouring field which we cant go on, typical that this is were the rabbits bolted. After about an

I have a few, the volume thing for a start.. I also have to have all the handles of our mugs facing the middle of the cupboard in 2 rows, all glasses ordered in size with biggest to the back, all lables face forward. Every time I drink a pint I have to rub it down so that all the condensation stuff is off it before I can drink it. didnt relise i did this till the other day a mate asked me why i do it o.0 The one that annoys my misses the most though is after we have been food shopping I have to put all the stuff in the fridge, theres a space for everything, all alcohol goes top back, the

The whole idea of getting mine castrated is so they can live together, I believe ferrets are happier when not on there own but mine have been alone 'till now.... So i cant imagine it doing much halm if its all they've known

Cheers mate looks like im making a box tomorrow then lol.

I know where you're coming from with breaking Terriers to Ferrets, they're a nightmare. My young Bull X however is coming along great with the ferret. I used to let the Ferret run around the garden whilst I kept the Bull X on the lead, I held the Ferret and let the dog sniff it, and now I'm at the point where I am able to leave the dog off the lead with both running around the garden. Sometimes I see him looking at the Ferret with a look of "I wonder what that tastes like" look in his eyes, but I tell him and he walks away. I'd never trust him on his own with it, but so far so good .

Im getting my 2 hobs castrated £30 each on Friday, I got hobs first, back in late Febuary/early April and getting 2 jill kits on Saturday.. The reason im getting them castrated and not vasectimised is because I want them to live together, at the moment my 2 hobs fight constantly, and so there in seperate hutches for now, alot of peoples dont but every ferret is different and mine rag each other something rotten. However I have multiple mates who have both vasectimised and normal hobs, so im good no matter what I want to do. Weather it bring them out of season or breed. If your not so luky t

Near enough the same colour as mine.. Though one of them really was sandy until about a week ago I got them mixed up and relised the more sandy one now is almost the spit of its brother.. Didnt think they would change their fur colour but I guess its something to do with them being about A year old ish..

Well im getting my 2 hobs castrated on Friday so they stop fighting and can live together, so I can get 2 jill kits off my mate.. the problem is he wants them picking up by sunday at the latest...He's giving me them for free and has helped me out a fair bit so dont want to drop him in the shit.. Will the hobs be ok to live together by saterday/sunday? If not would one be ok living in the outside run until they are recovered, if I make a quick box for him to sleep in? Cheers
