  6. I started on a springer.. BSA Lightning XL and loved that gun..kinda wish i didnt sell it sometimes. it was my first ever gun so just goes to show how user friendly it was..i asked around alot the same question and 99% of the answers were get a decent springer... when i moved to PCP i found how much easier it was and i think alot of that was thanks to the springer if im honest with you. also.. 30000 acres.. nice o.0
  7. I thought thats what it was, honestly though I just didnt think it would be too bothered about it seeing as there both in seperate hutches... gives them summit to cuddle at least o.0.... cheers for clearing it up
  8. BASC also for me.. same as above.. helped with permission as the farmer had heard of it.. seems to be the most respected from what i can tell.
  9. i dont use a bowl for water.. only for dried food.. the main reason for this is because my ferrets will just tip it over.. they drag there food bowl to where they want it.. and rabbits they take to bed with them.. both of them have a bottle and that keeps them fine mate.. as long as your sure there getting water from it.
  10. Hi guys.. i have a few questions i hope you wouldnt mind answering. the first is how would i catch a Rat live?.. i have ferrets and im sure theres a few rats trying to get into the shed for the dropped food...ive seen 2 small dig spots (we have loads of those tiny stones in the garden instead of grass) one from under the decking and one from under the shed. my next question is how would i go about getting squirrels? theres bloody tons at one of the farms but its too dense to shoot them at the area they are the most in number. im totally clueless when it comes to trapping and i appo

  12. well kits will bite you until there used to being handled.. just keep handling them dont let it get to you, keep them cleaned out and well fed they will sharp get used to your hands being there.. i dont have jills but if im not wrong.. there has to be a boss with them so that will calm down eventually. sausages usually have alot of salt in them so dont give them too much (imo)

  16. What tubing was it you got mate? cheers
  17. im in wingate till' we get a house in peterlee mate.. bout 12 mile from spenny.
  18. I know its not unusual behaviour but why do ferrets drag there food to their beds?.. once hutch involves climbing and squeezing to get from one side to the other.. i always make sure i put a rabbit on the side his bowl is (for dry food).. yet he will spend 5+ minuts dragging this rabbit to his bed.. same with the other ferret.. he wil drag it from the dog and push it into his bedding area just cleaned them out and watched them do it and got curious why they do this.. kinda funny sometimes
  19. Best dog EVER!!! .. my favourite dog anyways lol
  20. so.. should i not bother phoning me mate about those ferrets then sorry ive not had time had alot of baby stuff to sort out .. and i rang him the other day he was flying his hawk so didnt answer and was too busy to ring him back. (though you did say you couldnt have any till august time ish) if your only in spennymoor i have some young rabbits, but you will have to keep them in the freezer.. ive got a bag full of day old chicks i could part some with aswell but there not a staple diet just something to throw in to keep them fed when your short on stuff (imo), again.. keep them in the freez
  21. nice one Veedublee, its easier to get more permission when youve got one i think.. ive got 6 big farms now and 3 of them came from name dropping, one i got from a farmer who was at a pub and the other was just persistance.. i asked.. he told me to come back in a year and laughed.. so i did and he was so shocked at me coming back and the fact i was still polite etc, he showed me around and now, apart from the phesent shooters (who hate me for some reason) im the only person allowed on that farm.. and it was defintly worth it theres so many rabbits, never come home empty handed. land looks n
