    Veg all doing well all my lettuce is ready at ones , I got 7 more point of lays to replace my old hens ( 2years old )

    I don't lock mine up but mine are in soild pens . It has been climbing over the tops of wire on some and digging under some others , not every one has time to lock them up and let them out every morning, we have all ways had a fox about but never one that's learnd to climb over tops of 6ft fence

    Iv kept ferrets a lot of years now , but this morning I checked on my Jill that gave birth on Friday night I like to leve um a day or to to settle down before checking, when I opened box up they was all still attached with ther ambilcal cords 2 had died but I have managed to save the other 5 , any one had this before?

    Got a call this morning that there is a fox in the wire ! Sure enough iv got the vixen am buzzing it's had 62 hens in total, just hope this sorts it , the chicken men on the Alotments think I am now some kind of hero ha ha

    The meat is quite different to wild rabbit I just killed the biggest in the litter at about 8 weeks then one a week after that I only let them rear 6 kits , I sold loads as pets too

    I keept nz and Californan they was good eating I fed them hay veg and a breeder grower pellet I had 6 does and 2 bucks , I had to get rid when I moved out , do miss having them tho , I got my stock of a bloke that still has a farm he sends them to France , I remember I payed £28 each for them as the bloke sed it's a pound a year he has spent improveing the strain lol
