  1. I got first place with my cabbage! Ha could not believe it £5 prize money! And had loads of old boys asking how I grow it and what I fed it , I sed I just planted it and left it , I think the 4 year old duck muck was the key !
  2. Was at lurcher ring I did not see any of the terriers
  3. Ferret show was a let down bloke judging unloaded his mates ferrets out of his van guess what they did very well! , our ferrets were left unattended at the end any one could of walked off with them !
  4. Nice them mate , just got my 1977 gs750 back on the road after 3 months in the shed
  5. Am entering my biggest cabbage in the village show on Sunday I hope I win the the £3 prize money not sure what I will spend it all on tho ha
  6. Iv always had whippets they sleep out in kennels all year and will sit out in the wet and rain all day when ferreting no problem,
  7. How you make your chutney jok ? I used cider vinegar, apple, sugar , beet, and red onion
  8. Just making beetroot chutney with the last of them now never done it before so fingers crossed it works out !
  9. Picked 2 more rows of beets and pickeld them last last night , is they anything I can plant or sow in ther place?
  10. Working bred smallish hob kit won't grow massive, well fed and handed can send pics on watts app , £10 to cover feed costs East Yorkshire

  12. Just picked my goseberrys and black currents got enough to make some jam

Smaller the better I cook mine in a pressure cooker for 15mins skin them then quarter them pop um in jars put 2 table spoons of sugar and a pinch of salt on them half fill with white vinegar and top up with water , not sure if it's the [BANNED TEXT] way to do it but it works for me Ps make sure your jars are clean
  15. Try them roasted lovely or make borsht soup very nice , can great them raw onto salads , it's a very versatile veg , She dose them rosted with balsamic vinegar and honey v nice
  16. Just on with pickleing my first beets picked one row to night and think will get about 20 jars out of it another row to pick tomorrow night then a 2 week break, iv got 2 pressure cookers on the go !
  17. Looking good jok , iv got me green house up just need to get some Tom plants and hope am not to late
  18. Wow might quit work and start a stud farm!
