Just picked my goseberrys and black currents got enough to make some jam -

Smaller the better I cook mine in a pressure cooker for 15mins skin them then quarter them pop um in jars put 2 table spoons of sugar and a pinch of salt on them half fill with white vinegar and top up with water , not sure if it's the [BANNED TEXT] way to do it but it works for me Ps make sure your jars are clean

Try them roasted lovely or make borsht soup very nice , can great them raw onto salads , it's a very versatile veg , She dose them rosted with balsamic vinegar and honey v nice

Just on with pickleing my first beets picked one row to night and think will get about 20 jars out of it another row to pick tomorrow night then a 2 week break, iv got 2 pressure cookers on the go !

My cousin has just moved in to a house with a greenhouse that he don't want so off to take it down at weekend! Have I missed tomatoes this year ?

Every thing looks good to me including your mrs though seriously your veg all looks to be thriving. Most of my stuff as a rule has that struggling look about it How did you cook your pigeon ? Ha it is a terrible pic of the Mrs ! I roasted it with onions and sweet potato, did that beets with onion balsamic vinegar and honey, every thing this year is going well I think it's the duck muck I got it was 4 years old and black

I don't think so as my air lock let's the pressure out and I open mine and taste it so I think you will be fine

Going to make a small flight at end of my garden it will be 2ft wide 8ft long and 6ft high and am thinking a 2ft buy 2ft shed on the end ? What birds will do best in there wanting something to sing ? Thanks

Had an hour on the plots today dug first spuds ( not the best but sure they be tasty, pulled a few beets to culled a cross bread pigeon from my loft , while we was there I swapped some eggs for a turnip and a puntet of strawberrys New pots beet root red onion turnip and pigeon for tea Had some help from the wife too !!

Jok I do grow some beets from seed yellow and white and pink this year they don't bleed as much and make good gifts when pickeld,
