    a few hours last night with craig and ian -I opted to use the logun and managed a nice 35yd bunny with other lads shooting in farmyard and doing the buissiness with the rapids

    haven't been on the bunny perm for a while so with the beautiful weather we had yesterday I decided we go and show our faces - farmer pleased to see us and plenty of thumpers and milky does about -so we used a bit common sense and only shot a few in farmers presence. once we went out of her sight we left stuff alone ,until we stumbled on a squirrel that had us running around like school kids and we finally got a shot away after a good ten minutes chase -I like the chase!!! told farmer [woman] we be back up in a month when all lambing out the way

    was going to go down thermal route but decided against it -I think you will lose field craft skills and rely on thermal too much -ive managed very well without it for 30+ yrs so its a no from me -good luck if you go down that route

    a morning out in glorious sunshine with two mates and feral was 1st to fall followed by 8 woodies in a small private cat&dog shelter we then drove to same place we shot rats other night and a few more ferals and a bandit -a thunderstorm followed and didn't let up so we headed home and roads were closed /crashes etc with volume of water -back home paths were dry lol!

    the photon will be used next time si and just chomping at the bit on branchers -but reckon back end of April or early May as last time I was up there [scottish borders] they were just finished repairing old nests -I was soooo tempted to drop a few but why spoil a good thing eh?

    my hands get a good washing and that's about it we didn't shoot the rats in there they were outside feeding on cattle "cake" that barn is actually quite clean

    rained off this afternoon so acquired craig to help put up some bird boxes [owl/kestrel--- several bluetit/sparrow] on local farm land and told craig to stick his rapid in car as you never know and it paid dividends with 2 bandits falling in quick succession
