  9. first of all that stupid remark from the idiot who only knows swear words if you dont like other peoples opinions i suggest you leave the site! i was lucky to get my cocker for free as i do a lot of beating no papers but who cares about papers theses days? you dont have to pay mega bucks mate just shop around look for working parents tho as i think this goes a long way into achieving good things from your dog and as the old saying goes you only get out what you put into it
  10. have to agree mate dont shoot owt that you cant kill cleanly
  11. you will need a gun lamp or someone to hold a hand held lamp it takes a bit ov getting used to but can be very effective in the control ov rats and rabbits

  13. years ago i told the wife to keep an eye on 1st cross collie greyhound when she went for walk as he was fond of moggies and could do one without a sound she said to me he wouldnt dare do owt like that when ive got him whilst walking down a very busy road she noticed loads of cars driving slow and staring at her and to her horror he was doing exactly what he wouldnt dare do lol big black moggy retrieved to owner
  14. i currently own a cocker bitch which is tiny [flea bitten]in colour she is 2and a half years of age and can put my hand on my heart and tell you she will work none stop all day and pick up too nothing is too much for her .the only down side to a small cocker is they tend to struggle with large game ie hares geese every thing else is fine for a cocker but word of warning to would be buyers is take your eyes off them for a second and there away scurrying about looking for game .ps this is the 1st gun dog ive owned and have enjoyed every second with her

  19. me and a mate were asked to go to a [massive] magpie roost up here in north east .we set off with a pace in our steps and arrived at farm about 9 in the evening and the cloud cover was perfect ,we could see our quarry from 25yds and started the job in hand the first few didnt know what had hit them and we decided to split up as they were flyingfrom one end of the copse to the other there were loads of them and the noise was deafening .we didnt leave till the early hours as the action was frantic but brilliant the rifles used were both sub12lb a rapid 7 mk2 and a logun mk2 our tally was 62 m
  20. night time mate more running about
  21. had a few 1st cross collie grehounds and have to agree with most comments posted they do get a bit clever for the man/woman who expects them to run every bunny put in front of them but for ferreting or bushing their brilliant .i also had a dog called glen 1st cross [cattlecollie] greyhound that killed charlie with amazing ease night in night out took 5 foxes in one night farmer was well chuffed sadly his love of cats got him run over
