1st cross collie greyhounds are supposed to be the most likely cross to bark so i was led to believe i think its got something to do with them not being the fastest of dogs i may me wrong tho thats why i used to hang back as long as i could with my dogs

one of my collie greyhounds used to yap when on rabbits tried alsorts to stop it but stopped using dog for rabbits and put it on fox [preban] it stopped instantly mate but would still yap on bunnies if he found one when out bushing i have to agree with a previous comment usually its down to entering the dog to early its a confidence thing mate [frustration makes a dog yap] imo

to the lad who replied to my post about doing keepers tyres etc this was 20 years ago where i live in the north east and i can assure you the keepers were real twxts and always mob handed we were a minority sneaking about like [poachers]do taking a few rabbits then getting back to car to see 4 tyres slashed rotor arm missing from engine and in some cases windows put out !what did you think we were supposed to do ?stop poaching? .well nothing would stop me and my mate from going out in them days we were beat up locked up but never fed up just kept on hunting so really all we did was pay -
great post to read lads and being a former lurcher lad theres a few geniun lurcher men putting there views on and top marks to you for saying honest things and not talking bullshit like some of the wanabee lurcher [boys] that get on this site .all the bragging about how many hares/rabbits etc they catch in an hour just makes me laff real lads just do it and say nowt to no-one

in the good old days while poaching you had to be on your toes from cops and keepers but we loved every minute of it cat and mouse games switching lamp off sneaking around keepers yard slashing tyres nicking his ferets cutting fences no wonder they hated me! its funny tho i got permission further afield and it just wasnt the same as poaching -

went lamping near whitley bay years ago with two mates and were ambushedby keeper and farm hands and beaten black and blue then marched to farm where i spotted a lovely looking stick and then went to town on the twats befor filth turned up and was arrested when they saw the state of my neck [strangled] and face [booted] they had words with keeper and let me go .a few months later i was at a lurcher show and one of the judges was one of the pricks who assaulted me so i entered my dog and when he asked to see dog i hit him and told every one what had happened the show ended shortly after an -
