Right folks. I bumped into this farmer the other night while i was out practicing with the new , he explained he was renting the ground i shoot and had 200 acres next door that wanted some vermin control. Am yer man i said. So the next evening i went round for a blether and met him and his HW35 which as he explained was nay use at killing pigeons. He also explained that he wasn't sure if it was a good make of gun. I understanably was quick to tell him its one of the best on the planet and takes a bit of work to shoot properly. Its probably fired less than 50 pellets and has sat for a few

I'm no expert at either spring or rifle shooting but i know from my own experience that practicing with my .22 Weihrauch HW80 & 97K has improved my rifle shooting alot. The more i practice with the springer the more confident i am when i pick up my .243 and point it at a roe deer. Incidently i still put down over 500 rounds of .243 on paper before i shot my first roe and the rifle is so much easier to shoot than my springers. Doesn't matter what it is you are shooting tragectory is something you need to learn with any calibre, but .22 air is an excellent calibre for learning this. I j

Hi folks. I agree with Andy's post, it covers it all for me. I've a BSA Scorpion multi shot thats just brilliant for barn work, just got a new perm with hundreds of pigeons so its going to be Scorpion time in the next few weeks. I'll give the springer a go once i've thinned the numbers down and the farmers satisfied i'm doing my job. 200 acres of rabbit infested rough ground too Mon the ! C

Most gun shops have it. I bought my kit from Sloans of inverurie my local rfd. -
Just been playing with the F1 and well happy with it. A few small issues with lights until i strung up an old halogen in the man cave. Good to see what my guns are making with no doubts in the back of my mind. Here's a handy link for anyone who's using a chrono that only shows fps. http://www.airgunsofarizona.com/energycalc.htm The only surprise was my fac which has a fac vmach kit fitted. I am sure it was about 22 ft/lbs in October but its reading 19 at the moment. Atb C

Nice one mate, good to get away from the drudgery of work and do somit positive. Not sure whats next, stuck a wanted ad in here for anything Weihrauch or Airarms thats been through the mill (total wreck), the rustier and tattier the better, so long as its cheap and something i can salvage. Got anything on the cards yourself Darryl? Been watching your vids, real good going, alot of interesting stuff in there. And what about your Panther its a bloody beautiful beast dude. Started looking at them on Guntrader after watching the vid, I MUST RESIST!! Atb mate. C -
No thanks pal.

Cheers guys, its a fair bit of work but to be honest its an absolute obssesion of mines and 100% enjoyment. Its like when you set up targets and chomp through pellets, the hours just disappear Even if i'm knackered after work and i can't be bothered doing anything i find myself making excuses to disappear into the man cave to fettle and conjure up anything air rifle related. I am happy with the way it turned out bud ta. I went out and shot a load at targets tonight and was very happy with the groups whilst shooting prone, bench top was a disaster as i wasn't being consistent and i pulled a -
Hi folks. As the above says i'm looking for Springers. Old, new, rust buckets, broken, spare parts and anything spring rifle related. The crappier the better as i'm looking to refurb and start a collection. Especially Weihrauch and Air Arms but any of the good manufacturers considered. Thanks for reading. Chris.

Hi guys. Just back from my perm. Did some prone shooting with the AA field .22 12grn out to 40 yards and they were really good in the fac but average in the newly restored . Went back to RWS superfields in both guns and they were great tonight with only the very odd flyer (probably pilot error) I give them a gentle push into the breech with a byro lid to seat them and getting really good results in the prone position. Did some bench shooting but was sh*te tonight for some reason i was all over the bloody place. My local fishing tackle shop has loads of superfields at a fiver a tin, he's

Hey thanks guys, thats a buge compliment from you Darryl as i've seen how good your guns come out mate. Totally agree about shooting them after all the works done, nothing better. I've put in 10 mm spacers in the butt to make up for the stock being cut down and made the mistake of using hdpe plastic. A total pig to put any kind of finish on the face of the spacers, goes all dull and not very good, can't win them all so i'll need to find a better replacement. Off to shoot some targets tonight with my new baby. Atb Chris. -

Brilliant stuff. Cheers. C -
Thanks for the replies guys. I only need the chrony for the muzzle energy, i dont use the combro any more as its erratic, i binned it after using it for 4 years. I don't do the down range stuff lads just making sure everything i do is below the 12ft/lb apart from my fac HW80 which i'm droppiong the power down on to about the 14/15 ft/lb for better accuracy. I just mark up a sheet in increments from 10 yards to 60 showing where to point using mildots then job done, don't like those calcs on the net, i much prefer seeing where the pellets land and work with that. Cheers Webster. Just do it exactly as per the instructions mate. I use the Birchwood paste and only leave it on for about a minute tops, no more. A quick wash of in the sink when the wifes out and dry of with a towel and another coat. I probably put about 15 coats on in all. A good chilled out job in the kitchen. -
