  1. OH CRAP I never spotted this one, is it still for sale? (stupid question from me i think :-(
  2. Not interested in buying it mate (would have snapped it up if i hadn't bought a scope yesterday) but i have one on a rim and its brilliant, sorry to be pedantic but they are 5-15x40. Good luck. Chris.
  3. Used to shoot quite a few black ones on a perm in the Shetlands when i worked there a couple of years ago. Not seen any colourful ones like above. Atb Chris.
  4. Hi Mole. Cheers mate, i'm all stoked now. Great idea on the chairgun, i used it briefly on my old sport HD with some success, didn't give it much of a chance though. Chrono time. All the best. Chris
  5. Hi folks. Just bought a second hand version. Old style with AO up to 12x - 50mm obj. Are they any good. Only cost 50 odd quid posted and the reviews on other sites seem to be positive. Its going on to my sub 12 HW80 for rabbits etc. Cheers Chris.
  6. Yeah i agree don't fancy having a collapsed bearing bouncing about inside the gun. Bye bye gun. CW.
  7. Skot, my lamp fitted means i've got to elevate my poi by 20 clicks on my sub 12 97k at x12 mag on a 30 yrd shot Got a small torch fitted to the 57 which requires 15 clicks of elevation at x9 same distance.
  8. Well done mate. Caker for the baker stripping and putting back together eh! Not too much grease there and the piston seal face looks fine, get a V-mach kit up it and you'll never look back. Love the blue stock, get it on the 97, pure class
  9. Hi Simon. Your spot on again sir, i've been weighing and measuring the ftts and there seems to be a range of weights from .92 (remebered the point this time) gramme to .98 gramme with differing diameters corresponding near enough with weight. If i keep to the same weight i group better than random picking. Not tried the 40 and 50 yards yet with the V-mach (nay that good yet) i'll shoot out to 50 at the weekend & see how i go. Looks like 20 to 30 yards is more or less point and shoot with a tiny hold over up to 20 yards. Your right Simon these 80s are the greatest, its really shooting
  10. Might well be the spring if all else is well. Is there any free play on the cocking arm when you disengage from the stock prior to cocking? Reads like it may have compressed somewhat. CW.
  11. Cheers Simon. The gun is shooting very nicely and even though its not as sedate on recoil as the sub 12 its still very good. Early days though as i've only put about 50 pellets through, good so far though, will improve i'm sure. The only disapointment is my pellets, the H&N FTTs are a bit eratic. Straight from the tin they are in a group of about an inch and quarter over about 20 pellets at 30 yards. I then shot 6- .96 gramme making a 5 pence group. Back to the tin grouped to about an inch. Finally 6-.96 gramme single hole group again! MMmmmm? Do i have a bad batch of pellets? Al
  12. Hi guys, Yeah i don't have a spring compressor so i made up a jig that works, its a total bast*rd but i've got the hang of it. As i said i strongly advise a gunsmith chaps, my way of doing it is liable to get someone hurt if i posted the method so not going down that road. Easy peasy on the non fac, i've stripped a good few now and put back together and there's no preload to contend with. I'll get some pics up in the next few days and i'll report my findings on shooting the V-mach . All the best gents. CW.
  13. The 97k is great with it but my the fac kit in the is still pretty harsh, its better than just sticking in a Titan spring which i did to begin with, but its not alot better as i had done a bit of work with a piston liner, new seal, buttons etc and a bit of polishing. Not given it much of a chance as yet so i'll see how i get on with it tomorrow night on the perm. Got to say the 97k is rock solid with the pellet on the turret test but the , nah! Stuck a pellet on the turret fired the gun and ping the pellet flew past behind my left lug hole, oh well win some lose some. I might put my cut do
  14. Got my kit from the RFD today so i'm gonna do a blow by blow photo shoot of me fitting it into the to show how easy they are to fit. CW.
  15. Shooting ones self in the foot is an old saying, getting caught with your pants down etc. I don't give a hoot what you think Rob!
  16. Blah blah, Bunny boy, slanderous remarks not, the gun was a dog and the work was an absolute disgrace. You said it was in great condition to me over the phone. Strange how communication was good, no probs getting hold of you then when i recieved the gun on Friday tea time and dropped you the message that the gun was a total bag of shite you disappear of the face of the planet. This is the first time you've raised your head since Friday! Try to save some face? You or the shop will never have my custom. I'm not getting into any kind of tit for tat with you 2 as i don't come on here ripping
  17. Maybe its them maybe its not pal, doesnay matter to me now, it was the principle of trust being broken that pissed me off. I've not lost money to be honest as even though the Titan is worth a few quid too, i picked it up for peanuts a year ago from someone who'd given up shooting and had left it lying in a cupboard gathering dust. £40 for the pump It was too heavy for my wee loon to handle properly so even though i'm hacked off about him being a liar, financially i'm no worse of because technically i've aquired an HW80 for less than 110 quid, so stick that in yer pipe and smoke it Bunnyboil
  18. Careful pal, i split a bit out of my stock, totally careless of me. Sick as a parrot at the time as it was mint.
  19. Best of luck man. My Da was diagnosed with it 8 years ago. He had about a dozen tumors cut out of his chest shoulders and back (every time the sun came out the shirt was off) He made a full recovery and been clear for 7 years now. No more sunbathing for him and i don't either now. All the best CW
  20. Lovely job, i like the nice clean lines. Well done sir! Atb Chris
  21. Mate- you did a fine job of that If i'm not mistaken I think you just dealt with one of the Graham Brothers (sure I read somewhere that one of them was scamming again under the name Bunny Killer).. If it is him, you're dead lucky that you got anything from him from all i've read on the various fora.. Well done mate John Thanks bud, if it is him then he must be Welsh. Doesn't matter anymore. Just hope nobody else gets caught out. Atb CW.
  22. Hope you guys have a great day, i'd love to come but i'm miles away and working then. CW.
