  1. Nah, that's one of them things the girls in night clubs dance around!
  2. He kindly sent me a vhs version, trouble is I don't have a tv or a video machine.
  3. No no no, if you can catch one in those catch alive clear plastic square jobbies sold in large diy stores, Then, you can catch with anything.
  4. Let me tell you TC; I recently filed last year’s accounts and realised I’d earned at least 50% from moles – so, for good or ill, I am a molecatcher. I’ve spent the last three weeks doing nothing but moles, and I’ve spent a fair amount of that time in the gardens of million £ plus houses; usually while the owners are at work. So, while there in London working their bollocks off I’m wandering around the plush gardens they’re paying for, in the spring sunshine, occasionally catching the odd mole. You find it hard to name a better job than that Exactly! In a nut shell.
  5. Timely comment by Matt! Today amongst my scheduled mole jobs I had a small garden job near newquay, when I got there, numerous obvious signs someone had already been "having a go" with a swing shovel by the look of it! Anyway chatting to the customer I casually ask, freind had a go at these? Without batting an eyelid he says no I've been trying to catch this bugger for weeks, but decided I needed to get an expert in, I do all the garden mole jobs round the local villages for beer money, don't usually get this problem. So, not only do we have a messer, we now have a messer that knows the real
  6. Ha ha ha, classic! You may just get a better response rate by putting an ad in good old yellow pages than on a hunting site, just a thought.
  7. What new mole hills? Ain't no new mole hills when I've been! Only pulling your chain.
  8. Thank god it's a lefty! Boy I'd be happy to find room for a right hander.
  9. Never a truer word said!I've been daft enough this week to do a small school playing field locally way cheaper than I'd normally do one, only because I wanted to take it from someone who gets up my nose though, even so it's seventy quid for half hour.
  10. Quote for each individual job for what I want to be paid for it. Far too many people getting into mole trapping since the filthy strychnine went making things difficult for themselves by using weird pricing structures! Just charge for what you think its worth.
  11. Tried the pasta sachets, that's my go too bait. The farm next to this one I do use fenns in boxes, but this farm "his brothers" I tried and stopped as after promising faithfully he'd check, empty and 're set he didn't, forty miles from me so can't keep calling in to do it and he certainly wouldn't want to pay what I'd need to charge him for it. No, I'll just do the same, shoot out this clever lot a few times till the weather warms up. Just wish it hadn't come to a head now.
  12. Thank you! Mad thing is they're both taken on my cheap phone.
  13. Should be back on night time rabbit jobs this week but I've had to waste precious dark nights shooting rats that will not take bait in any form or shape. The farmers have admittedly provided perfect conditions for them using big bales to separate different feed stuffs. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the night rat work but not at the expense of losing good paying nights on the rabbits.
  14. Only problem with using this type of fencing stake is when you catch the big beggars like this one! If the Springer had been down more than one night the plastic would have taken on some memory and not been able to lift this one.
  15. Mind you when they leave runs across open ground like this it would be rude not too.
  16. Been doing quite a bit of this myself this winter, good to do now and again, even if it only saves a few sachets of bait going down. Ps, obviously these photos were in the autumn, not winter catches.
  17. Candle wax, simple as that. Don't use the poxy honking candles women buy though.
  18. Don't worry Matt, your just flushing them to gun with the dog.
  19. I could be wrong, but I don't think you'll be exactly inundated with people wanting to help set someone up on their doorstep, well not full timers anyway.
  20. I've just had my 98+99 done by tinbum, he found the 98 was a bit of a challenge as it went 16ft/lbs with original spring with his drop in kit, he said it was lovely and smooth and no twang but very hot.
  21. +2, and as for the shite about burying your new mole traps in a mole hill for a night! What the hell is that crap all about? Get em in the ground and earning.
  22. Been out all day setting, digging down through the first inch of frozen turf with the knife was a bitch after the first hour or so, wasn't sure the moles were really going to be that active, but I walked past a trap I'd set ten minutes before and there was one in there. As for covering, all I do is lift a frozen hill a little way from the trap site, place loose soil on the trap and then stick one of the frozen lids "hills" over the hole, easy job.
  23. My early .22 rapid mk1 which I stupidly sold. Which I now have back in my possession! Yay.
  24. None of them are quieter than my twink x3, but then it's the size of a scaffold pole.
