  1. Worked up Aberdeen on building sites first 6months this year and met couple lads that where working of shore but got paid off,,,at first they were like this is OK ,couple month later they were gagging to get back out ,money being the main one the other was cleaning up after the likes of me,,, basically skilled guys but there's only so long before sweeping up behind everyone you can take especially if u have a skill,,,one thing a can say about them on sites they were decent workers unlike the agency labours u get now they refuse point blank to clean up ,no real lol
  2. Yeah brickies are doing alright again...shame there block work hasn't improved much lol but it's OK us plasterers will cover there sins with our magic wand
  3. Once u have an offshore job ull no want another job, thats what they use to say..old man been off shore since I was 3 year old when he walked out on his marriage to go off shore 37+ year ago he was electrical fitter ,hes now senior feild supervisor,,can't be that bad if he's stuck it this long U should have tried working on building sites during the ression, talk about treating the trades like dirt
  4. Me bull whip grey X wheaten whip grey No real reason except for both work the light well and both produce good bags to the pot So bull wheaten whip grey for me next
  5. My favourite pic this year is when plls call ur fat hairy working lurcher fat and slow...and the camera can't catch her apart from her tail, in same picture as the other professional racing snakes..they messed with the wrong fat hairy mutt that day lol
  6. Some folk prefer whippet over a lurcher and vise versa or both...get over it man
  7. Another good video Trev....this is my late whippet greyhound I used for hunting she kill herself last season a 5year old...she wasn't the best but I remember her from saving my ass and other dogs on walk from pasteing from on Alstion attack and Staffordshire dog attacks on two different occasions..she took no shit off any dog sorely missed She was a little madam loved her food but hated arrgressive dogs more I
  8. Like me Trev... always whippet greys most my life since 5 year of age...some lurcher that came and went...it wasn't till I started adding the racing whip greyhounds in mix the lurchers stayed for what I needed...as for small whippet breed dogs for rabbits the whippet on its own or in a mix has to be there in breeding to make the perfect biddable rabbiting dog
  9. The holy grail for me is small tough lurcher that is fast and as nibble as whippet or whippet greyhound on rabbits as that's all I do now......but at only 3 year old and still perfect feet after thousands of rabbits I still don't know if she's the holy grail as still another 3 or 4 seasons to go One thing do know she can certainly sprint lol if kept fitt
  10. Cheers mate, she loves a few hour on the lamp. A few catches of the catches in York on the wheat in Jan Ahaa I thought I was right with screen name lol...great wee dog Trev... rabbits are the sport of kings....
  11. The best wee whippet I've seen on here at ferreting game unsure of lads screen name is Trev??? I think white parti ..watched a few clips a good few months ago... cracking little whippet that I must say..not sure if it lamps but ferreting on videos looks really good
  12. I done both even raced ...better with whip grey with a bit of working dog in mix for rabbits to make them more rebust...if your lucky ull get a lurcher just as nibble and as fast as a whip grey and less injury prone..I've a 25inch whip grey that's been used a hell off alot at stud too other lurchers and he added the speed but pups also had some off the toughness from the bitches...I've now retired him from such duties but however he did HELP produce some decent Rabbit dogs day or night... My wee lap dog out of him...she also beat a few whip grey racers on the track I.e unbeaten against a whi
  13. Spaying is the complete removal of uterus and ovaries, which means that there is no 'sexual' activity, as there is nothing to produce hormones which might make male dogs take an interest. The bitch effectively becomes an 'it'. I meant behaviour
  14. Spaying her could be an option...but due to her being sexally active she might display some of the symptoms of being in season...but might also not
  15. I'll assume Dave been telling u iam turning my wee Jeep into ultimate survival Jeep with permanent tent and cooking facilities lol....so I can camp lamp...I can now invite u up to some speed lamping...then ferreting in morning after hours sleep
