  1. Damned ugly dog but it doesnt look like a lurcher which could be an advantage should you have any run ins with the boys in blue providing your not camo'd up Wouldnt be my thing but I would be interested to see how he does
  2. I have decided to start looking for a lurcher stud now for my purebred working border collie bitch to mate about 6mths from now, looking for a dog at least 3/4 sighthound must be a seasoned lamping or coursing dog with good feet around 25tts preferably no collie blood Must be in Ireland/N.I Bitch is 4yr old

  4. Im not used to the auctions lol, if any pup sells for 750 just because it shows interest in sheep im sitting on a goldmine Most of my pups ive bred in the past were very keen from 3-4mths onwards although I havent bred a litter in 3yrs
  5. They did that with connemara ponies over here... But in all seriousness a stylish young dog showing serious trialing potential is worth the price it sold for. There is a reason isds reg collies are around 200-300 as pups and several thousand as adults... There is very high litter wastage, majority of litter will be average at best, some may not work at all.
  6. If I had money to spend it wouldnt be on any of that tacky shit... American muscle cars all the way for me... 1970/1971 Dodge challenger would be top of the list
  7. Nothing unusual there... Trained isds reg sheepdogs fetch from 2k ,when fully trained, trialing stock fetches far more than that Although you could easily pick up an unreg plain old worker for about 750
  8. I feed mine late the night before... I wouldnt like mine to be hungry as they'd take the hand of me As for not having breakfast myself before going ferreting.. I often forget to eat breakfast lol
  9. Any pics of this spear? Just for curiosity? Or perhaps some arrowheads?
  10. Id keep the bitch but i like a bit of boldness in a pup
  11. Lol! Think I may have dropped my buck bantam last time I was out... Worst bit is its got a realtree handle
  12. Aye paulus ye fecker... Salt in the wound... Sob Well feck ye paulus... Well hopefully im in talks with midnight to make me something a little different to anything he has previously made..
  13. Thats handy to know, now I know why the lads are trying to talk me into buying their dog trailers
  14. Saw some of that plastic for sale on donedeal if thats any help? http://www.donedeal.ie/for-sale/dogs/3790890
  15. Brother in law is... He also cleans chimneys and cleans shop fronts and houses with pressure washer, he owns a couple of cherry pickers and has tools for every job you could think of. Ive a fear of heights or id work for him
  16. French shepherd dog... Rare breed, look like mongrels thats as much as I know about them, saw some at crufts about 15yrs ago
  17. I dont think theres hardly any original wolfhound blood in wolfhounds these days... I recollect reading an article by colonel david handcock that mentioned in passing that wolfhounds are a recreated breed using some deerhound and great dane blood
  18. Ive never seen a wolfhound run but imo a wolfhound defies the purpose of a lurcher to fill the pot in hard times where a wolfhould would most likely eat you out of house and home.
  19. Nope, only the the one out of the litter with that colour. Will get the recent pics of my pup up. Cheers. No worrys, its an unusual colour
  20. Seen a dog on donedeal, same colour, same age only it was smooth coated... Could it be related?
  21. aww thanks gem  you'd be welcome to use my permission anytime you like paulus
