  1. Cheers Darcy. Yep been chatting about that option. Can't be doing with setting up a company! I have the day job already. Just good to have the option of running/ferreting the land.
  2. Waiting to hear back mate. I'm not bothered about that though. At the min it's been through friends of friends so Chinese whispers! Asked to see him direct in next few weeks.
  3. The photo thing worked mate! Always good to put a bit of info up. Age, what cross etc. looks a nice pup. Nice markings
  4. Not sure this is in the right section so mods please move if so. Me and my mates work ferrets and lurchers in Devon. We use nets and never flush to guns. I have been offered a fair bit of permission through a friend of a friend but the owner has asked that I need to be a registered company and have insurance. To be honest it's not about the money it's getting out with the lads, dogs and ferrets. The simple thing for him to do would be to go straight to an existing company but he hasn't! So my questions are: Is it easy enough to set up a company? What type of insurance will be requi
  5. Spot on and nice pup socks. I took my pup out with 'Newkid' ferreting the other week at 6 months old. Was more than happy with him. As said its worth them tagging along to learn their trade early on.
  6. Thought there must be a fair bit judging by the coat. Ideal size too and a nice mix. And for nothing then bargain!! Keep us posted on the progress. ATB WVM
  7. Looks a cracker that crazykaz. How much collie in the mix and what height do you think it will get?
  8. Yep. Will have the fishing kayaks out from April so the freezer will be stocked up from then. Hope the dog sorts the eating habits!
  9. Yep he will eat kidney, heart, liver and tripe. I normally give fish that I have caught but have run out at the mo so that's why I get from tesco.
  10. Yeah sorry joe got Carried away there with all the questions!! Will pass it back onto you now
  11. Anything that breathes mate Fed quite a few lambs hearts in the last week though, so maybe thats contributed. He is a fussy f*cker at times but the last week he has been putting it away, with plenty of excercise. Hasn't been easy but starting to pay off People said that to me but I wasn't happy to leave him hungry. I feed raw as well. I mixed it in with some tinned sardines ( tesco value) he soon started eating it. I introduces offal slowly as it give him the shits. Small amount of liver/heart/ tripe. He eats like a horse now!
  12. Thanks bird. They are saluki collie grey x 5/8 3/8 grew.
  13. Yeah 25 would be good for me Ross. Dam was 23" sire 24".
  14. Sure will. 25" will suit me but hopefully no bigger!!
  15. Robs. I just sent you a pm mate. I'm after some info. Cheers
  16. thats ideal, fair play.. glens the same, likes to f**k about all the time, whats yours like for jumping about? wee f****r has some spring/jump when mucking around, just checked, hes bang on 23 1/2.. Yeah he won't leave other dogs alone if they show him some attention but sometimes I forget he's only just over 6 months. The lads who I go out with dogs are focused on the job so he just follows them! I havnt taught him to jump at all but the other day he cleared a fence no bother and is always bouncing around. He picked up a little niggle the other day chasing another dog so he's staying on the
  17. Cheers. He was good Joe. Easy to break him to them. This was his second time with them also using stop nets so no big runs for him. He worked along side my mates dogs. Because he's young he messed about with them to start but once he realised what it was all about he was steady and got a couple in the nets and one bolter before it hit the nets which he retrieved so I was well happy. I havnt pushed his training at all and just let him be a pup but to be honest it's def second nature to him. He's going to be quick. Surprised at his size too he's already bigger than Lola at 23 1/2 tts. How tall i
  18. Same here mate I own his brother. He would run all day if you let him. Had him out ferreting a couple of times but taking it easy too. Some nice open ground up there that should suit him.
  19. It was tricky Sean because for some reason our side of the hedge was knee deep in mud!! Only had the chance to take a few pics because our side were pretty busy setting up purse nets and dispatching all the rabbits we were catching!! Will ask Kev if I can go on your side next but he will probably say no incase I pick up any bad habits!!
  20. Cheers Vin. He's been a treat so far. He's just over 23" at 7 months so hopefully he will stop growing soon!! Hard to keep the weight on him but he's now filling out. Those pics were his second time out with the ferrets and he did really well. Chip off the old block!
  21. Was a great day lads and I think Blue learnt a lot! Here's a few more I took with the phone.
