Has anyone hit cubs yet while digging,must be nearly time for them

In about 1983 they built a new housing estate in the town i was living in then.My mate and i were out for a mooch at the back of the houses.They had left the original ditch in and it used to hold a couple of earths,that we had completely forgotten,anyway my dog went to ground and could be heard hard at his quarry right in some guys back lawn under the kitchen window.We tossed to see who would go and ask if we could dig up his lawn to retrive the dog and my mate done the deed.The owner of the house thought we were mad but when we showed him where to listen to the dog he was quite excited.We dug

Great to see her back on her feet,you were lucky i lost a very good bitch to kidney failure,what made it worse she was only 5 and the last of that type,hope she comes right for you.

This thing about 3oclock would it be that the foxs lie up most of the day and come afternoon they start to hunt for food,would'nt that leave scent fresher.

They were usefull enough when put to greyhound for lurchers,had one years ago good fox dog also seen a few that were good on fox.

did you dig down 12ft or trench in 12ft not being funny,but you say you heard the dog sounding was that from the entrance it had to be.If you did'nt block up any tubes while digging theres a chance she is still alive,maybe just stuck,go back out and if you can try with another dog all the better if not leave a coat or something like that outside.If it comes out she might stick around,hope you get her back safe.

As far as terriers and lurchers go the westmeath hunt show was way ahead of ballinlough for the standard of working dogs on show and as for the entrance fee its a joke 15euro for what the stalls were shit,i dont go to many but wont be goin to ballinlough again definitly will the WMHS.

thanks mate were would i get that chemist???????????????????????? Most farmers would have it if you cant get it off a vet,over here you need a herd num to get it at the vets.

There are men who have bred and kept a line of dogs for 40..50years who most did'nt know they even kept dogs.They kept them among there own close diggin friends.Not saying they were better than the well known studs or broods but they were probably as good.Iknow one man who had a line off red lakey type terriers long before lakelands were heard off and that was maybe 50 year ago.I remember my father bringing me on a dig,i was about 10 at the time and that was the first time i seen them dogs and was very impressed with them.As years passed i moved away and he died,what became of his terriers i d -

Have to agree with you.Camera's camcorders even mobile phones should be left at home,too easy for the wrong person to make a mountain out off a mole hill.Ive gone through a lot of dogs down through the years,no pics just memorys even when my dogs got stolen i had'nt one pic of them to put up searching for them.

You have two choices as ftb said you could take the bitch to vets problem solved or let her have the pups and see how they go,if you have the room for them.I personally like the x seen them work for years and at the minute i have pattxbull at the end of the day its up to you or your brother what you do.
