    poles.

I started off with electric fence poles, and found they worked fine, just the right height to set a net on, they had a 6" steel pointed spike, great for hard ground, and a small notch in the top, which I'd lay the top line of net into, but soon after I got into the quickset longnets and gave them to ferreter216 to use, pictures a bit small, but you'll get the idea,

  4. ferrets are ferrets, ok so he's going to miss her, but get another fert in there, be it a jill or a hob, and life will carry on, if ferrets died from "missing" there cage partners, were'd have ferts dropping like flies when being split up in the breeding season
  5. so do my fingers on a friday night, but I wouldent stop using them
  6. I dont know if Im quailified to have my say here, as I dont as yet have FAC, but I would say, its more a question of what your shooting, and why if your shooting from a pest control point of view, at rabbits, a shot to the upper body is In my eye's, as good as a head shot, its going to put the rabbit down, unlike an air rifle, where a head shot is needed, Ive been rimfire .22 shooting (under supervison) and quite a few of the shots were body shots at ranges between 30yds to 70yds, if however the shooting of quarry was for re sale (butchers etc) then on rabbits I could understand the need for
  7. thats probably light reflection then

  17. I thought I had a simular one in the court, looked like one front leg/paw was shorter than the other, on closer inspection though, it had a tick lodged between its toes, and therefore was "holding" the paw up, making it look smaller/shorter, on removing the tick, everything seems back to normal glad your giving the wee fella a chance,

  21. not trying to get on your back here, but you asked in the rimfire section, if you were to have a FAC, could you go ahead and shoot a deer, well if you did, what would you do with it , leave it where it lay's as "you dont like touching stuff when its dead" your be telling us next you dont eat what you shoot a good hunter has respect for his quarry
  22. by this age it should be chomping on fresh rabbit, when you put the evening food in (after the flies are asleep, lol) let mum start feeding, give that jill a chunk of rabbit, in the middle of the others, see if the jill keeps removing it from the litter, dont rush to become a surrogate mum,
