You ever hunted in the winter months mate only kidding. ran a greyhound bitch got her gifted at 9 week old fetched on just as i would a lurcher jumped ran the lamp and mooched with her through the day nice size at 25 tts so was good on most stuff never had any problems with injurys slight knocks but no more than you get with any runner get the dog out see what it will do for you mine gave me 9 years of fun atb

when a line is breeding to type and doing the job well and producing good workers after good workers is that not a type of dog bred for a specific job where it would be classed as a new sight hound breed. its a lurcher thats the breed name is it not there are lines of fen dogs been bred true to type for years but if you go back down the line theres a mix of different dogs ie bedlington irish terrier and so on so no its not going to be a new breed they are lurcher bred dogs.

it will never be a new breed as there crossbred so really its a mongrel what we call a lurcher bred to do a job ie hare only dog or lamp dog bred down in size for ferreting dogs theres lines of dogs which go back many years bred for one thing hare then you got your line bred fox dogs rabbit dogs and so on but they will never be a new breed as there a old breed now the lurcher.atb
