  1. Please sign if you feel strong enough. This is the thin end of the wedge in my opinion! Could affect all of us in the long term! https://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/scottish-government-to-drop-all-proposals-to-licence-air-weapons-in-scotland?utm_source=supporter_message&utm_medium=email
  2. I'd certainly go back to skinning them again, it's not a long job as you may well know, but Linda McCartney and co did a good job years ago and wrecked the fur trade!

    ipads help

Google nexus 7 worth looking at, it will never be an iPad to a wife, but its good spec and get everything from the android market (google play) including Facebook etc
  4. Not sure if there is anything suitable for that purpose. I am sure one of the air gun specialists will know the answer.
  5. Depends what rifle and scope. Military/law enforcement often use them, but not necessarily with a TS. Often used with non precision sights such as aim points, non magnifying and cqb sights. The ability to use iron sights as well is often just for last resort.
  6. The difference is the ignorant bbc reporter reaches millions of people ,and half of them believe everything that they see on tv Yes very true
  7. Brilliant pics, that look pinsharp on my computer. Great warm shades of reds and browns
  8. Nice and unbiased, just forget the semi auto my personl preference is bolt over semi all day long for a number of reasons. but who am i to stop someone having some fun with a semi if thats what they want to shoot with. and its a good tool the americans use them for rat shooting in the swamps. and you can shoot a bolt gun .22 well
  9. so what your saying is catch one stick a gps device up its rectum and this will lead me to the rest? drove around all day and only seen large numbers near the town think i seen 8 in the country side You asked a question and I gave you an answer, but yes you stick whatever you want up your rectum. Another bit of advice, is get out of your motor, and get out on foot, you may see a bit more, and have some good results
  10. £15 for 50 hmr, they must have seen you coming! You are paying £17.50 for 50 .223. Admittedly I buy in blocks but that's nearly £3 more than I pay, and if I wait for the inevitable offers, nearly £5 more!!! very little difference in price in terms of performance, as you know .223 will eat up 4/5 times the range of the hmr, and if you already have a .22 whats the point in buying a gun that can only go a extra 50/60 yards when for the slightest bit more get a gun which can shoot 500 yards more?????? its a pointless calibre UNLESS u could get 500 rounds for £25 like the .22......
  11. Well said Hallamrose. Why is your opinion better than someone else's. I personally prefer varmint barrels as the extra weight gives me a bit of extra stability. Yes it's heavier, but that's my choice. We probably all know someone who tries to enforce their opinion on someone else. Get what's right for you, shoot it, and enjoy it!! he already agreed he wanted a light one, but he seen this one cheap a just jumped at it. i tried to tell him to think about it more before going any further and yes said to him if you really like it and it suits your job go for it. so i never forced my
  12. Welcome to the forum, I am sure someone will advise you re the above.
  13. As you know matey, ( and so does the gun lobby in the states) any type of control is a thin end of a wedge.....as far as I am concerned, someone can own a bazooka as long as they are sensible with it and don't go off killing people. If you want something, you should be FREE to have it as long as you don't intend harm to others with it!! Based on the anti gun logic, they should take everyone's driving license away as I reckon cars kill more kids every day that guns do in a year or even 10 years. Wilf your not a fool mate , so to compare somebody being careless/wreck less/unfortunate

  15. Tell us more then. Air dried or salted pelts died out for us years ago. ( or at least it wasn't worth doing)
  16. Great concept, but don't know many that use the quad to its full potential. For me the different barrels cover too much of the same, with a load of faffing about.
  17. Haven't seen a cloud formation like that for years:)
  18. How so true. More illegally held handguns are recovered now, than before the ban. Not mentioning the grenades and assault rifles!!! Oops sorry I just have done!
  19. For me this year it should go to the entire Olympic team. (Including para athletes) The title though suggests a personality rather than an achiever! For me, an achiever wins and personality would be an added benefit. Lets see what you think! Maybe the title is wrong !
  20. I have never cleaned my 452 and it's accurate. I have never cleaned my AA S410 air rifle either, and that's spot on as well. Was told if it's lead that goes down it don't clean it, if it's copper that goes down it clean it, so the HMR gets a good seeing too every now and then and that's spot on. 452 isn't semi auto though! I don't clean my .22 452 as much as my hmr 452, but eventually the bore will choke up. It is impossible for a lead bullet not to deposit lead in the bore. Semi autos though will get stoppages if the carbon build up isn't removed.
  21. Yep I agree, and I have my own views on things that I won't express publicly, but I do think we become to over sensitive about things. At the end of the day who gives a f@ck what some ignorant bbc reporter thinks. I don't . They don't give a f@ck what I think. The bbc is that much in the sh@t at the moment with all the jimmy peado savile business I don't think many will pay attention to countryfile.
