  1. Well I watched the programme as well and they didn't infer I was a racist! I do know what you mean about the bbc generally. They can be pretty biased.
  2. That isn't quite right, but why get worked u about it. There are 3 Chinese fellers who shoot on our syndicate and the are bloody great. Get over it. If they aren't interested so what, but why turn it into something it isn't. I will hunt/ shoot with whoever is interested as long as that's what they want to do!!
  3. They go where the food is, it's as simple as that. I do find when the wind is blowing from the west there are more about but that is probably because of the hills and how it affects the insect life that the crows supplement their murdering habits with. This time of year, with the sun low on the land, I find they move up the valleys/hills with the sun. Best time of day as always for crows is the hour before and hour after sunrise. They are hungry and hunting!!
  4. Fella used to come collect them every few weeks, inspect them on the boards and then pay us cash. Nice little earner until the fur market dried up.
  5. Great autumn colours. Where is it, with the jackdaws I am guessing a deer park somewhere. Well captured
  6. Flipping heck. In the late 70's early ' s I would get £25-30 for a good winter un damaged pelt. £5-15 for a pelt any other time of year! Hope £250 for 5 comes in!!!!! Can't see it though
  7. He has all on getting himself there LOL Seeing him tommorow so will have a word Haha ok.
  8. Hi pal. You might have thought of this but give some to N O'B to bring over to the shoot next week, and he should flog a few.
  9. That's right not much sport and with dwindling numbers of game fish it's no good for the survival of the sport. Fun for the kids, that's all!
  10. Forgot to say that link won't open on my phone for some reason
  11. No fancy otterboards with me bud, even a bit of driftwood would suffice , provided an anchor line and baited mono lines could be attached. Set it off downwind in spring , and those little loch brownies will catch themselves. Alright as a way of survival catching but not much sport otherwise!
  12. Well said Hallamrose. Why is your opinion better than someone else's. I personally prefer varmint barrels as the extra weight gives me a bit of extra stability. Yes it's heavier, but that's my choice. We probably all know someone who tries to enforce their opinion on someone else. Get what's right for you, shoot it, and enjoy it!!
  13. Look back a couple of months and there was a thread on here about it. Yes I have done, and a few others off here.
  14. don't worry John getting gunsmith to cut it and screw cut it for £ i had my cz452 bolt action, nickel, synthetic cut down and screw cut this year £40 How have you for on with it as Edgar brothers wreckon cz's are slightly choked at the muzzle and shouldn't be cut down. A lad I know did his own with a hacksaw when he was a kid and it shoots ok but is nothing special. no problems at all mate Both my .22 and hmr are 16" factory threaded and have never seen a need to go back to longer barrels. Both 452's and wouldn't swap them for any other make. Still prefer the laser flat HV of the hm

If that's her, then that's sad! At least she enjoyed it.
  17. Depends whether the offender is on the DNA database I guess! If it's Scothunter, he's fu@ked.
  18. £15 for 50 hmr, they must have seen you coming! You are paying £17.50 for 50 .223. Admittedly I buy in blocks but that's nearly £3 more than I pay, and if I wait for the inevitable offers, nearly £5 more!!!
  19. who`s the uk distibutor ? Not a clue. Edgar brothers or viking arms I expect if its going to be a storm!
  20. Yep just read up on it. 500fps faster than any other rimmy, so at least 3000+fps, and 2.5" groups at 300. Good competition for the .17 hornet!
  21. Hmr usefull for the extra range and still relatively cheap, about the same as a shotgun cart. CF you have a choice of loads, .204, .22 hornet, .222, .223, .17 etc. For me it would depend on how much longer stuff you will actually do, and if in the future you will kill any fox as well. It would also depend on how much damage you want to the bunny and hare meat!
  22. Great birds, but too many around here at times for my liking! It's ok seeing the them plucking flying rats in Manchester city centre though!
  23. Welcome pal, look forward to reading about your hunting/ferreting with hawks.
