  1. Be a help if I included the link wouldn't it!!!! derr! http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/olympussp500uz/
  2. Scothunter. Have a look at this review and make your own mind up. £280 in 2006. Just check you can still get batteries and how much, that is if they are not standard AA etc.
  3. I was looking forward to a right good read then about early season ferreting, bolting rabbits in their hundreds and no lie ups! Oh well, at least its looks like good news for future ferreting, well done.
  4. Well done mate, I dont know if you know, but crows are scientifically regarded as being the most intelligent animal after man!.....mmm I do most of my shooting of crows with shotgun and .17hmr, but something else that works for me, is a bit of fur (from the hood of the old parkas, but it could just be a bit of rolled up rabbit skin) on a long length of fishing line. When any crows start coming into your decoys, give it a few tugs, (the fishing line, lol) and the crows usually go mad and sit on the nearest dry stone wall. Dont know how it will work for an airgun. Good luck. Failing that, an ol
  5. Grant, I like someone with fight. But do yourself a favour, stop biting. It would be better to sit their and say nowt, and let people to think your a fool, than open your mouth and confirm the fact. This is not a dig at you.
  6. I get mine from Agouti, 2mm 1KG roll, £10.95. (not sure how long this is, but Ive just done 20 nets, and it doesnt look like I've used much)
  7. If you are a shooting, fishing, ferreting kinda fella, then its the biz, a real good day out, I think some of the complaints were because the T and L were someway away from the main centre of events, which was a little annoying, as even myself who doesnt have a lurcher, found myself being dragged away from it because of that.
  8. Was just out with my hmr, and although I,m happy with whacking rabbits at 200, 250 would have been a bit hit or miss in the conditions I had this morning, especially cos I needed the bunny.
  9. Like the picture of them in the blue barrel!
  10. Not sure exactly what weight they are. The dayglo yellow and orange twine from Agouti is definatley alot lighter than the red he sells, I dont know why. The red certainly feels like the 10 0z nylon equivelent.
  11. Went out this morning with my rifle to whack a rabbit for the ferrets. Eventually spotted one with my binos about 250 metres away, and on the edge of a bank of rushes, so spent the next 10 moving round to a closer and suitable firing position. Just as I'm getting into position, Charlie's head pops up in the rushes, about turns and does one at top speed!! Ahh well, that's the way it goes sometime! (doesn't stop you feeling hacked off though, and yes I did get a bunny, but not that one)
  12. Blan, as I said before, it wasnt the coppers that took our right away to hunt-it was the government! I've been done for speeding and stuff and felt vicimised, but at the end of the day I'm old enough to realise they was just doing their job. If we didnt have the cops and the army and the huge number of people in this country who know good from evil, then it would be like tottenham, birmingham and manchester, everyday and everywhere!! Lets face it, do you really think the cops are a*s*ed whether you have a walk about and snaffle the odd hare, - course they arn't, but they might have to do some
  13. It stems from the fact Heinz used to advertise they produced 57 different varieties!!
  14. That also explains why you haven't yet realised, that its government that makes the law, and stops us doing some of the things we like doing, and not the fuzzy wuzzies. Go read a few books and watch the news.
  15. Well said Tomo, that did make me chuckle! LOL!!
  16. Come on then, how come Americans need cops, when they have the right to bear arms, and what are these "special powers" coppers in this country have. Oh, hang on a bit, it must be the power to spot a thieving looting scumbag on a push bike, (that was probably fecking knicked off someone, 2 minutes before
  17. I'm after a new vest for keeping a few nets and stuff in as i'm moving around the warrens, something with big pockets. Just wondered if anybody is using one of these Jack Pyke dog handlers vests as they look really hard wearing?
  18. Looks like they dont mess about in Manchester- good on em, lets hope they dont get legged.
  19. Same as Max Abel, spun poly are great.
