    think again fella the owners of them sals were probebly of the muslim religion they wouldnt want the pray dead !! they would want to kill it hallal !! so the dogs were probebly trained to hold,, till the quarry was dispatched by the owner then he could disspatch and eat the meat,compying with his religious beliefs.     very interesting and good to watch, till it got to the end, they are not meant to kill their pray?? The pair that were running, did not look like they wanted to kill that rabbit? so they have no instinct to kill, just to chase? they ran on some bloody rough ground though, ill give them that.

    I know a vet in Mayo, that is very good and is a greyhound vet too. His not that expensive either. I too vaccinate my own, as JF said, far cheaper then the vets over here.

    Thanks Blue, he is not getting on wit my other dogs, while he is chilled, the other fuckers are ganging up on him, I was hoping that they would make some sort of bond, have tried to put him in with each on their own, no joy, just one of them things that can happen. Read my post it clearly states I never owned one, but saw plenty in my days, in the 60s and 70s whippet racing was very common, and Blue one, your the type a person who sits behind a key board, and tries to rubbish peoples posts, get a life and a decent dog while you are it :laugh: Yes, i know Jf, i tryed telling him it would make him vomit if he seen what mine could do.... toby, no, i dont have a whippet, i am just here to feck up posts and cause trouble so watch out. ..lol fa

    no one saying there so good / more of a case of there not that bad/ singlehanded I think Tom has answered your question, to be honest the more people who believe the urban myths about these dogs the better as it keeps the messers and dog swappers away,becoming too popular could really be a bad thing totally agree, well said.

    cracking pics lads. well, their you have it, good working whippets, do it well, they have good feet and not all, have bad coats! They are not out and out fox, hare dogs, but at rabbiting, they excell and do, take a few long ears and the odd fox. Border lad , before you attack me, about my comments, get your facts right sir, obviously, you have very limited knowlage of working whippets. As for my dog, i think you will get sick ...if you seen what she can do.
