  1. Not sure what you're saying! seen how much what craps? rabbits??? If your dog craps a lot it's probably the greyhound food? Mine definitely 100% craps less when eating raw than dried food, and I mean a lot less. As said, its when i give them raw lad, they crap a lot more i find, especially when its whole rabbit, raw. I don't, feed the greyhound food with the rabbit, i feed different days. Just my experience and i really do think that that all this hard and fast rules about raw Vs complete, is over done... :lazy: Been feeding working running dogs for the passed 30 years a
  2. the deerhound x irish terrier pk bred 30 years ago done their job well enough Did any by chance do well on the fens?
  3. All this ''your dog shits more with complete'', is silly i think. I feed whole rabbits sometimes, as part of my dogs diet, have you seen the ammount they crap???? I personally feed a good brand of greyhound food and good quality raw meat, rabbits, venison ect and human grade meat, they seem to do great on it with no probs what so ever.
  4. Best of luck with the pups, keep us posted.

  9. What is the point, you can not talk dog sometimes, on the net.! Ill say it again, Salukis, have got tough, good feet, they don't need collie in them.
  10. far dinkum have you ever seen the ground salukis hunt over in their home land its not the bowling greens you guys run your dogs on. Well said. No need for collie blood. ! Good salukis have strong good feet. I've never seen a collie cross needing it's feet manicured and oil massaged. As for bowling green, you should see what burnt heather does to a dogs feet. A wee bit of collie added and I reckon theyll be all the better for it.... Just my opinion mind... Your opinion is wrong! Shows how much, you really know, about salukis?

  13. VERY TRUE PAL, IT SEEMS DEERHOUNDS AND DEERHOUND LURCHERS ARENT VERY POPULAR HERE IN IRELAND ANYMORE.THEY WERE ALL THE RAGE TWENTY YEARS AGO.
  14. I would say, from my limeted experience, a injection of a good whippet x greyhound, would do well. Small fields and hares that love the cover/obsticals over here, make it hard for a slow thinking dog to catch. A good whippet x greyhound bitch put to a well known saluki bred lurcher that catches on all types of land, might do the trick? But, as said, i am no expert, on this matter.
  15. Good posts by Snoopdog, Bolio and j. Darcy. I think, from my limited experience with these crosses, you have to treat them right, their easily put off by rough handling id say.
  16. They might get lucky one day. Good pics.

  21. best post on this, this man looks like ha has fellings for his dogs but does not let that cloud his judgement = a kennel of dogs fit for perpouse. Agree, best post, well said lads. If i can not rehome as a good pet home, its the other choice, not a easy one at that!
