  1. self praise is not my style mate.but everyone knows i dont keep shite.anything i keep is more than good enough for breeding.the topics is about someone i know who just bred a second litter out of 2 piles of shite and sold pups to wee guys just starting up.what is that all about.too many are into breeding just to get a few quid . well, i have seen your dogs and they have all jacked on the strongest of hares, why come on here and take out your silly frustration on folks that do have good dogs? shut up, or i will tel all who ye are.
  2. Thats a tough one, sorry to hear that, r.i.p You did the right thing, most don't run right again after a bad break like that. !!
  3. Tried a different browser... Firefox http://www.mozilla.c...US/firefox/new/ I am with Firefox Ian.
  4. Ian, fair play to to you for helping everyone out, i have updated everything ect ect... But, it is still shaking, when i scroll down! It does not do it on any other site, or forum. cheers.
  5. Still having problems Ian when i scroll down, it shakes.
  6. I have a lurcher bitch here, that never took fox till she was 3. before that, she would never course them, then the penny dropped when she got in on one with another dog. !
  7. What dog did you have back then mate ? A whippet x greyhound, 23'' and a 3/4 greyhound x 1/4 irish terrier 27''. They both took fallow single handed, mainly prickets (year old bucks) and does. The Irish terrier x, was not so bad on the sheep after, did not take as long to remind him that sheep were a no no, but the whippet x greyhound was a pain after he started taking deer. Good point about the mountain sheep, these sheep smell like deer at times and are VERY tempting to a dog!!
  8. They were very steady with sheep, before they started to take deer, would even course a hare and rabbit threw them and not look at them! it was after taking deer, i found, that they went for the sheep!
  9. A long time ago, i use to take deer with lurchers. But from experience, found they also went for sheep after, even though they were stock broken from before they took deer.! Whats other peoples experiences on this in the passed? I am sure not all dogs would go for sheep after, just mine did and it was the devils own job to break them off it again!! I dont hunt deer with dogs these days, just rabbit ect, but back then, took a lot of fallow!!!!! cheers.
  10. have you any proof of this and were they strong winter hares. from what i can see, a winter hare on the fen, is no joke!! dont get me wrong, i would love to see a full whippet, regularly take winter fen hares and would take my hat off to any that does.
  11. Some great pics and hunting. I hear, that their is saluki hybrids over their, that are regularly used on hare, but just heard this at a show couple of weeks ago.
