    No , they are far too slow ,they need prairies to run on,are slow to turn ,and only catch their prey after running them to exhaustion in marathons,not only that ,but they cannot jump, or handle cover.Totally unsuitable as a base for any sort of general purpose hunter.They are also boring to watch, and unbiddable. Does that about cover it? ..that is why you have one for ferreting ect

    it sounds like, you have never had one of your dogs, on a very, strong winter hare, on the fens, as if you did not give the dog, electrolytes, after that, it would most certainly, die!! Equally, a hard night on the lamp, would do the same!! if you also push your dog, over several seasons, without electrolytes, it will be burnt out early in its life, with mucele waistage!! i am sure, you will have a long story again, to correct me, but i will not, answer it, as folks like your self, all ways have the last word.

    Anyone who needs a load of pills and potions to get a dog right is a poor trainer, his advice would be better taken with a large pinch of salt lol. he seems to use natural ingredients and not banned stuff, so why do you say that?

    Its nearlie always jocks who bang on about fen dogs being no good! is it because you havent got any good feilds up there? I was up there last week and I didnt see any? or is it an inbreed fear of open spaces? For centurys every time a scots men stepped on a big feild thed be a well organised English army on the other side of it who would march on over and defeat your cowering soldiers? . . .     Spot on, good post. Few years back, i fished the moy for 2 seasons, tryed everything, never got a fish.! I remember once, being their from 5am, till 10 am, on a June morning, used all manner of lures worms ect, not a take, then, some fella, started fishing down the river a bit, using the same lure as me self, after a couple of casts, bang, he lands a nice salmon, of about 18 pound. . A lot of luck has to do with it too i think. Heard the river at Ballisadare, Co. Sligo, is better luck? have fished ballisadare not for me im afraid its more like fishing for stocked trout in a pond pl

    from passed experience, working with the dept of agriculture here in Ireland, farmers, talk to each other at marts and if one farmer, has mxyd rabbits, another that has problems with them, asks that farmer, to get a few for him, which he does, as some mxy rabbits, that don't run much, are easy to catch. they put a few in a bag and the farmer with the rabbit problem, collects them and introduces them to his healthy rabbits. In a week, the place has mxy rabbits everywhere and in most cases here in Ireland, they eventually get wiped out! It sickens me, when they do this! Also, in a area, tha

    I was thinking the same thing SC . They seem to take a long time to get to them, as they were dropped and not in their own environment, i would of thought, they would be easier to catch? as i was saying before, if them arabs did not have them 4 x 4's to keep up with them, they would be gone!

    I put a saluki/greyhound/collie/greyhound x collie/greyhound over her, dog called snipe from derby I think I know the dog. You probably do, he is very well known. You wont go wrong with Snipe, his a cracking working dog, best of luck with the pups.

    Id say, if they did not have them 4 x 4's to keep up with the saluki's, they would not get them back. they go on for miles.

    I was impressed with that. apparently, the gazzels are dropped? the saluki's in the front of them courses, were good. was also impressed with the ground they ran on, ok, it was a desert, with no fences ect, but if you look closely, their was a lot of stone/rock, not just sand! it would be a dream to own won from that breeding, but, would they do well, over here in the uk and ireland.? thanks for putting that clip up.
