Get yourself to Newquay next summer, buy a body board and get out there.....the waves are awesome, you wouldn't think you were in the UK! 6. Kind of a decent end then mate, you would still be pissed off that it would cost you anything ( couple hundred fo changing locks), and the scummers should be bang to rights considering they had the fu*king car. Was burgled twice when I lived home with the folks both times the burgalars come off a lot worse, my old man was'nt a good sleeper and was always pretty angry ,one time they were robbing the chest freezer in our half finished extension I've still got a massive rucksack which one of the theives kindly gave him , the other time i was arund 17 when me old man was shouting at me to ge

    Alcohol ??

hadn't had a drink for 8 weeks until sunday, the back wheels fell off in spetacular fashion. Started at 2 in the afternoon and rolled home around 3 30 am ( or so I've been told more than once), as usual just me and my brother left out, we don't seem to possess that cut off switch ( infact I'm suprised we were home so early lol) But the one thing I've noticed is the hangovers last days now, felt like shit on sunday ( obviously), really depressed on monday, and still a bit paranoid on tuesday ( sounds like a Craig David song). I found once I was the wrong side of 30 the hangovers got wo
  10. Thats a shame mate, it must be terrible to save up all year for the family holiday, only for it to be a nightmare. The funny thing is, you can have 20 excellent holidays between now and another 20 years, but when there's a family get together and someone mentions holidays, guess which one is remembered? I'm trying to forget it at the mo mate but in 20 years I maybe able to laugh about it...... maybe
  11. I'd argued for Cornwall, but the missus won......... she wont again lol
  12. Never been so glad to be back in old Blighty, went to Vendee on the west coast of France and stayed on a Euro camp, in a caravan. After getting a little lost from Roscoff , 7 hrs after the ferry docked we arrived. The caravan was tiny and the missus and 3 kids + me crammed ourselves in then the fun started, started with my youngest girl getting sick, then my lad and then me I've never felt so trapped we spent 3 days without going anywhere, but the toilet, eventually we had to go doctors, that was fun, £ 3hrs and £100 later and we were back in the caravan dosed up to the eyeballs wit
  13. I think it's as nice as cod. Nice fish that one mate, did he catch it on the old style centre pin in the back ground if so that would of took some reeling in. they're 1:1 ratio arent they?
  14. Love trotting a river with a stick float, ( probably my favourite method) I use a close faced reel I've wanted a decent centre pin for years but never got one ( stingy bast**d lol). If your new to it remember to keep mending your line so it lies behind the float and not running on infront as this will affect the presentation also hold the float back a little and then let it run on, you'll be suprised how many bites you get straight after holding your float back a bit. feed little and often once you got them competing for it, it can be mental..................... I fancy a day on the river now
  15. Thats what I was trying to say in my post, that's how I remember it exactly, romantic or not. well said
  16. Had a salmon a few months back caught with a fox snare by an old poacher round here, was fortunate to sart as a lad with " old poachers", taught respect, loved to see wildlife not just kill it, it was an adventure not a killing spree. I'm thankful for a correct education, and still love to see an owl a badger whatever at night and find a nest or see a weasel ect in the day.The old lads understod nature and the countryside and their game bag was never empty.

  19. Great thread this one, really interesting thanks for posting charts.
  20. Nice looking dog mate, like the sound of that mix too, something like that in the future for me I think
  21. I mean small side lol she's only 5 months mate got a fair bit of growing to do yet... mines not the biggest but she's quick and agile which I think are good attributes for a rabbiting dog, I'm sure in time yours will do you proud.
  22. What a sensible reply Running dog x other breed usually collie or terrier breeds....... good ones catch stuff, bad ones get bullshitted about
  23. Well said mate, I know what I want for my lad................on the other hand I could really do with a new telly
  24. I think there's a difference between a bit of exaggeration ( i'm a life long fisherman I know ) and out and out bullshitting, used to have a labourer working for us and in the end I couldn't handle the lies, it was constant and got embarrassing in the end. I think his best was he told some lads on site he was in the special forces in the first gulf war..... he was younger than me and I was at school when that kicked off , now if he was a dogman what an animal he would own. :toast:
