He was the one who gave me £20 for the comp on Saturday, I used to sit behind him at the John Smiths festival in Evesham... Old fashioned match fishing....... Roll on Sunday.... I might bring my Mitchell match...

    Bad Feet

Looks like you could peel a banana with that foot, that's one ugly foot mate..lol
  17. This afternoon my wife's cousin set us up a trip out on a friends boat ( a nice traditional guernsey fishing boat), he was a top bloke, had the boat ready and live eels in the tank when we arrived. We only went 5 mins out of the bay and drifted along the cliffs fishing live eels, hoping for bass... They didn't show but we had some cracking wrasse a nice pollack and a few mackerel, my lad was in charge of the engine on the way in... What a lovely way of life out here and the people can't do enough for you...
  18. Few more, up the moors having a blast
  19. It's worth a visit if your this way no doubt... Scaring the kids was easy Ruby, just sneaking up behind them and a quick grab was enough for a scream to echo around the place lol... Pete, there is a lot of empty corridors and then every so often you'll have a room full of beds or a kitchen, ammunition store etc Couple bits of info about it for those who are interested: The tunnels cover 75'000 square feet and there are 1 1/4 miles of corridors, around a million cubic feet or 60'000 tons of solid rock were removed. It took 3-1/2 years to construct by hundreds of slave workers from acro
  20. You'd love it then Astral lol My lads really interested in the war, guns, tanks etc, he was ok down the tunnels but my little girl wasn't so impressed lol... My wife used to go there when she was a kid as she'd visit the family out here every year, she said it was worth a visit and she wasn't wrong.. They've opened some if the bunkers now as well as the fortification towers along the coast, so we'll have a drive around over the next few days and have a look in them too...
  21. The museum was good mate, amongst the depression ( as such) it showed the German soldiers who had just fought their way across Europe and had taken France, then landed on these defenceless islands. It was like they had a holiday in the middle of the war, they are well fed, sunbathed, swam etc... Although not so good for the islanders the German soldiers definitely enjoyed a bit of relaxation....
  22. There's a real strange feeling down there mate, I don't believe in ghosts or any of that sort of thing, but that place just felt wrong... There was manakins in some of the tunnels, now they didn't impress the kids at all lol...
