Well, I'm surprised. Don't really follow heavyweights as a rule, so just had a quick check. Dubois has had 10 fights, joyce 8 fights. I thought joyce had a fair few more than dubois?
-
Yeah there is that, but I just don't think too much of joyce
-
I still think dubois beats joyce

Perhaps the deluded c**t will pop a few pills and roll around with them ?
-
Very good that ?
-
Signed that as soon as I seen it yesterday. Can't stand the slimy little weirdo ?
-
I've had alot of prvate therapy over the years, but this one isn't really serious, albeit very painful, and will go away on it's own eventually. But you can speed things up a good bit by doing some home physio etc ? Yep, for things that are really serious ?
-
I know it's not funny ? ?
-
I've read somewhere before about border collie/herding blood and greyhound ancestry ?
-
He'd be wasting his time, the dreamer ?. ............... lol ?
-
If you go back in time when we were still connected to mainland europe, they would've been, as would've rabbits and fallow deer. I don't believe EVERYTHING here was introduced by the romans ?
-
Been watching quite a few more of these galgos coursing in spain. Some of those dogs are incredible. And some of the land they run over ?. Well impressed ?
-
That would be the same as coursing dogs these days then t c? Practically everyone calls them saluki/greys, when in reality, there's collie, beddy,, whippet, norfolk lurcher etc in them, making them saluki lurchers. I know there's been a fair number of pure salukis bred back into some of these lines, but they aint saluki/greys. Not looking for an argument, just stating what I've read, and seen written on here ?

Hehehe, I'm suffering with frozen shoulder as we speak. Been in the 1st stage for about 4 months, just about going into the 2nd stage. Got my ultrasound session on the 18th of may. Been doing some home physio, range of motion stuff etc, accupressure etc, and it's working. But by f**k, it's a long, painful process ?
-
There was an extremely good post on here last year I think, about salukis. Can't remember the name of it now, but it was extremely informative about salukis the different types within the breed, what to look for, sight, phsical type etc. Very long post, but excellent. I know you two fellas read it because a few of us commented on it. Think the authors of the article were american
-
From the bits I've read, there is already quite a bit of divergence from the original salukis from their c o o, to the ones in this country and the usa. Most show dogs differing a fair bit from original working types

Thanks for that, and that's partly my point. Yes, I get that finding a 'good' deerhound bitch could be a little difficult, but like I said yesterday, I don't think putting a tidy sized whippet dog, for example, the sire to my lads whippet bitch is 22 3/4" tts, kc and alot of oakbark breeding, and has worked day and night lamping, ferreting etc, to a deerhound bitch of under 30" tts, of which there are plenty, would be too difficult to do. There must still be some deerhounds that are/can still be worked in this country? ?
-
Aye, imagine if he'd have bred a litter of 1st cross whippet/deerhounds, he'd be a complete dreamer and a laughing stock lol ?
-
I get what you're saying t c, but when salukis were bred into the coursing dogs of today, in the 60's and 70's, how many of them were out and out coursing dogs, as opposed to show dogs that sometimes coursed?
-
To both these posts, I think in the main that's correct, and I think gnasher has already touched on these points. It's when you get the dickheads that are using more, sometimes triple the dosage, of what is supposed to be safe etc, and they don't even really know what they are taking, that things go very wrong, mentally and physically. Like's been said, I know a few guys that have competed, whilst using, then weaned themselves off it, no problems. Anyway, steroids etc, in themselves I don't really know too much about, so I'm out ?

Ah right, yep I know caerphilly pretty well, my old girl lived the last 45 of her years there. She and my stepfather used to run the boxing club in the barbican, think it was pulled down around 89-90ish? I used to train there now and then when they ran it. Some good lads, and a couple of welsh schoolboy champs came out of there, and the 3 brothers that you've probably heard of. M H, S H, and H H. I trained in the elite gym a few times, with an old mate, a couple of times when aleks georgivou, (spelling), the hawk, from gladiators, was there. He's actually a tidy fella, but I outlifted him in
-
You're not far wrong there dc lol. Seen plenty of gear heads being knocked shitless by lads 10 years younger and half their size lol. Don't know what part of the valleys you're from, but it seems the further you travel up the valleys, the worse the problem is.
-
That's mad, a couple of my mates are bikers, from whitchurch, and they still go in there now and again! Lol ?
-
You are correct len. I personally know three friends that I trained with from time to time, that got into steroids. All a few years younger than me, but now all look about 8-10 years older than me. One had two heart attacks and was advised not to train again. All three stopped training between around 20-25 years ago, and they still look like shit, due to the health problems they've had, due to steroids. No-one, unless they know a doctor etc, to test and advise what and how to take what they are taking, knows how their body is going to react. Dangerous game to play.
