Have erected perches on and inbetween trees for birds to roost in, its worked well so far. Suggest you take a visit to a game farm, you wont see many roosting facilities there. On a personal note I cant stand people who make snap judgements and comments that have no bearing on the original post! Never said I was a keeper (I'm not) and am certainly NOT lazy arsed as I work 60hrs a week and look after our syndicate shoot in my "spare" time. widnae fancy bein yin oh her dugs like !! always sumit up ! My vet loves me though he gets 4 good holidays and a flash car out of it the dogs round here are always walking round with no lead and if they bound into me and my lot fights will and have broken out tried explaining this to people but they just dont seem to understand it.Storm doesnt like strange dogs running up if hes on the lead and the other dog isnt and he will grump and then other dog grumps and there you have it theres a few crackers around here a boxer that apparently wants to play but soon ends up biting the other do

Still not sinking in is it grant................... Well now your going to get your venture underway you'd be better of telling us a little bit about it. How big is your pen going to be? I mean theres no point making it any size really, you'd be better of making it a 10ft x10ft and you could squeeze maybe 100 rabbits in there. I cant believe the MPs swindling money is getting compared to this. They took a chance were they could make a few bucks and it back fired, they should be punished by repayment or prison sentence. If anyone out there has helped themelves to something from work, 'perks of the job' then you cant really complain. Granted alot of them took it to an extreme but al bet your working class Joe Bloggs has made a few bucks as well this way. I know i have!!! I see where your coming from mate but in fairness if you have a few thousand pounds to throw about buying dogs then theres a good chance you might be able to hold onto an injured dog and pay the vet bills in the chance it might come good again. Whatever its always a difficult call and there can be alot of different factors...

Am very suprised an ex greyhound racing man has said this. How many of the track dogs get an x ray before they get put down? This is the point i was trying to make about pets and workers. If you have a worker then you make the decision on working abilities, if you have a pet then you let your heart rule your desicion. Either way it doesn't make you at fault... it would suprise you to know quiet a few mate.i have spent small fortunes on racers at vets.and yes i have also told vets to put dogs down cause in the vets opinion it would never race again.however you still need to get it check

As i've said no one at fault either way Moo, you made a decision on what the dog has done for you and it paid off, you could have paid thousands and the dog could still have never ran again. The lad saw the injury and decided to PTS, maybe a phonecall to the vet put his mind at ease, who knows.....?
