Running away....? When you have a man in front of you that you have hit with everything and they won't stop coming you have a choice. I reckon the method of killing her was far too risky for it to be a conspiracy...But did she die as a result of a car crash or did she just 'die' at a crash scene.?...It sure wouldn't be easy to ensure a car crash would kill her, imagine if she'd survived and the story got out. Yip....like everyone has said just go for it. You already have a trade to fall back on so if things don't go to plan there is always another option. But if they do and you get your qualifications then it's just a case of getting your foot in the door. Plumbing is an excellent job for picking up homers too so there is always money to be made.
