  3. thats a cracker for this neck o the woods. well done. was out this morning myself but only does seen but theres always tomorrow.......... atb alan.
  4. aye they are good mate !! i bluetoothed them to my mobile and use them from that. i also use an old mobile that i set the call as a ringtone and put it out in an area i can watch then ring it, hey presto a remote fox call. www.westernrivers.com is a good site for downloading calls too mate. atb alan.
  5. ive never understood that one where feo's say that bigger calibres arent suitable for fox. dead is dead whether you punch a neat hole in it or half it in two, either way its humane to the animal and surely thats what counts. IMHO there is no such thing as overkill where foxes are concerned. atb alan.
  6. as sounder said ive used a fox skin (with muzzle) put onto a chicken wire frame to look like a standing fox, over a real crow on a motorised flapper. they dive at the fox so hard they wont even notice you in the hide. ive shot some great bags this way. pisses them off no end. atb alan.
  7. as above mate, brain them and you'll be fine. iv ate loads and never had fragments.
  8. great stuff again mark whats the fox count now pretender
  9. i agree thanks for posting that FD ive never seen a head so malformed not even in stalking videos about them. i seem to remember a story of a stalker being jailed in hungary for shooting some of his young bucks in the bollocks with a 22LR in the hope they would turn perruque so he could make more money from european clients
  10. good stuff mate is that the t3 redundant now i thought that was your car by the wood when i passed. good luck for next week at tim's mate.
  11. good one mate, well done. the gunshop awaits.........................
  12. no supposed happenings vim, just logged on to PFS once it started up again and noticed you were'nt a mod anymore. simple question with no doubt a simpler answer. and you'd be more than welcome in our syndicate..................we're always looking for beaters
  13. OK BUD BUT THIS IS WHERE GOOD TERRIER WORK COMES INTO ITS OWN NO LONG LINGERING DEATHS cubs cant always be found mate fact of life in fox control !! if that vixen was hit by a car who would look for the earth then ? end result is the same, a litter that wont need dealt with later in the year. as fh said how can you find an earth that isnt on your patch. if your asked to shoot a fox on one of your permissions you shoot it.......end off. great result mark another for the tally. good to see david back on song again
  14. so the great vim returns what happened with you and PFS
  15. great bag david well done mate was that with the 410 all the best alan.
  16. as above you dont want to be a fox when davids behind the rifle.

  17. all you need to know here mate http://bestpracticeguides.org.uk/firearms_rifles.aspx
  18. theres a mounting on the underside of the decoy mate. you put the rod through then tighten the wing nut to hold it on. rock solid.
  19. youre right mate ive got the same scope and its a pleasure to use, never loses its zero. my mate has a swaro and while everyones eyes are different i dont think its as clear as the s & b.
  20. yep i agree, i dont know about genetics but surely if the beast was to breed there would be a chance of more of them being about. but 6 grand for a deer it would have to be solid gold not white.
  21. great stuff david good to see your back on top form mate all the best alan.
  22. if its for foxing mate try 55 grain ballistic tips off which there are a good few available in factory loads. charlie doesnt like them much and they are reasonably flat out to 250 yds. as for twist rates you would need a faster twist barrel something like a 1:9 to stabilise the heavier 223 heads but unless you are shooting at extended ranges there should be no need to use these for foxes as 55's are perfectly reliable. hope this helps. atb alan.
  23. a deer farm with fences that height ???? no mate defo not. someone give FD a valium before he reads this
